When I booked this place, I had in my mind something like a Holiday Inn. Was I ever wrong. This is more like a B&B, in the sense that it's in what seems to be an old house. There are several rooms - we stayed in the Aubrey room, which was pretty nice. It's not huge, but it did have a queen size bed and ensuite washroom. Because of covid, the breakfast was more of a continental thing with yogurts, muffins, croissants, and coffee. What I really liked about this place was the tranquility of the backyard. It was like a little oasis. Once our day's adventures were done, we liked to relax out there with an ice cream from the shop right next door. The owner of the inn was a really nice man. When we checked in, he gave us a personal tour of the whole house, and told us to make ourselves at home. He has two friendly dogs that we had fun hanging out with in the backyard in the evenings. Overall, it was a great place. Comfortable, and right downtown - easy walking distance to the water, boat cruises, confederation park, various restaurants, etc.
