Service and Staff
Property condition

The hotel was really clean, friendly staff, we only stayed for a night because other places that we normally stay at were full and we needed to be close to our friends who were staying next door. The only thing that I would say is that the bathroom door was crooked and wasn't closing properly, and a suggestion to management for a small room like ours you really need to get the bedside tables out and have light fixtures on the wall. It would give your guests much more space. I can't really say much about anything else, the front desk staff were friendly and check in went fast and easy.

Good location downtown, but there is a homeless mission of sorts, behind the hotel and the park across the street is full of druggies! Would be nice to see the city help these people off the streets. Hotel is very basic at best, parking is tight, no chairs outside some rooms, air conditioning unit was smelly, lousy coffee in the lobby! Expensive for what you get, better options around.

4/5 Good

I was a bit concerned after making the booking and seeing the photo of the facility. Arrived & checked in. The staff were friendly and the facilities are clean and well looked after. The funky color scheme grows on you. Couldn't believe the rotary phone in the room. My only criticism is the walls are incredibly thin. We stayed in room 397. The fellow on the other side of the wall talked in his sleep, and then made a lengthy phone call at 5:00 AM. I could hear every word. My next comment isn't related to the hotel or its management. We were incredulous at the number of homeless people living in the park, behind the hotel, and in the surrounding area. Sign of our times I guess.

5/5 Excellent

What a fun spot! Great staff. Lots of amenities including ping pong, karaoke, skate rentals, and a fabulous roof top patio with views of the park and lake. Kitschy and retro. Bright colors really pop. Very walkable. Close to shops, restaurants. Fun extras in your room - comic book, yo yo.
