Was called around 945pm to make sure we were checking in, assured we were as we are traveling and would be at hotel in 30 minutes. Arrived and waited for an extended period of time to get checked as the front desk staff were not present and didn’t answer phone. Then checking in I was asked to wait as the room needed checked. The front desk guy went and looked then came back asking me to check a room out, he took me in a different direction altogether. The room was an upgrade and I was asked to pay the difference if wanting that room. I couldn’t understand why I was being asked this since he just checked on the room we booked. I was then taken down to the room which was supposedly waiting on us and the heat was turned on full blast. I could not understand why I was still being asked if I wanted the room until seeing it. One lamp was missing a lamp shade, another was busted up. I went to check the bed and the front desk guy about fell over saying he couldn’t fix the bed if I messed it up. Literally pulling back the sheets to check and he continued to say he didn’t know how to make the bed. The room had clearly not been touched by housekeeping for some time. No discount or additional things were offered for the delay or incontinence. The sheets in the bed are old and not fresh looking. Not a great start to the night at all!

There is no hot tub at this hotel as advertised, the bed had a urine stain on it and the manager said that they had no other blankets and we would have to sleep with the stained one, and was rude to us. The bathroom in the room smelled like dead rodent. Everything was gross as if it hadn’t been cleaned. Expedia thankfully helped us get some of our money back.

There was an unavoidable sewage smell to both the lobby and pool area (with the strength of the smell increasing dramatically in the pool area). The room was sufficient overall, though the sheets were stained. The strangest problem though was the window in our room. The window pane did not appear to be designed for the frame it was sitting in, and a significant gap of a few inches was simply caulked over, poorly. There was caulk smudged all over the top area of the glass pane, and there was visible daylight where the caulk had pulled away from the seam. Our room was essentially exposed to the outdoor elements! Although the temperatures outside were mild at the time of our stay and did not have a drastic impact on the temperature in the room, I could see this making for a very unpleasant stay if it was winter or summer. All-in-all, we "endured" without an issue because we were only staying a single night, but I definitely did not feel comfortable overall with the stay, more like we were "roughing it" for the night. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the property definitely needs some immediate care.

The bathroom wasn’t clean and there were used washcloths on the counter. The pool door was propped open with a board. Breakfast was very slim with only 3 options waffles, cereal, toast. The outside door on the side had no swip opener and was open for anyone to use.
