Treat yourself to a true vacation in this stunning three-story custom chalet located on over two acres of abundant pine and cedar trees, providing a feeling of privacy and being in the forest, yet very close to downtown Groveland and only 26 miles from Yosemite National Park Entrance! As soon as you step foot inside, you will fall in love with the beautiful central great room perfect for dining and relaxing featuring hardwood flooring, cathedral ceilings, granite countertops, skylights, and a spacious living area that is highlighted by a beautiful faux rock fireplace and large view windows. Let the chef of the group loose in the fully-equipped kitchen boasting a large island, a gas range/oven, a microwave, a built-in wine cooler, and a dual basin sink. Everyone will love gathering in the large dining area with dual glass slider access to wonderful views and a spacious deck. Speaking of the deck, there is no better place to fire up the grill and kick back as the sun dips behind the treetops. When it is time to hit the hay, five of the six bedrooms have its own private full bathroom, so each guest can have their own privacy and comfort. The large main-level master bedroom has a great walk-in shower, antique-style wooden tub, and a private commode room. The upstairs bedrooms have two queen beds and a bunk bed, each. The two downstairs guest rooms feature nature views and sliding glass doors. The large wraparound redwood deck is on the main level. There is also a children's play structure available. Things To Know Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. This home not located within the Pine Mountain Lake HOA and does not have access to Pine Mountain Lake. Loved the log cabin construction, and the decor was very appropriate for the house. There is a bathroom for every bedroom (6), which was very nice for our family of 22\. We loved the large outdoor deck. It was a fantastic gathering place both mornings and evenings. The location in Groveland was perfect for trips to Yosemite, Lake Don Pedro, and other local river swimming holes. The kitchen had everything we needed (a second refrigerator would have been nice). The grand kids really enjoyed the playground outside and the toys and games in the house. There were a couple of small maintenance issues our first morning that VaCasa took care of right away. They warn you about the steep driveway, and they are not kidding. Getting my boat up the driveway and turned around was not easy. There were a number of dead mice in traps and alive mice families running around in the rooms which made some rooms unable to be of use. Completely unsanitary in that regards. Despite this, (multiple photos and videos of the incident submitted) the host denied to refund more than 15% of the cost and Vrbo did not support in this process. ##### Harsimran K. Not sure when the last time some one did a visual inspection. We loved the size of the home and the deck to sit and visit on. ##### William L. Jul 28, 2025 #### Huge house in the woods Very roomy old house in the forest. Perfect location for visiting Yosemite as a large group. However....Great improvement needed with regard to cleanliness. Bedrooms on lower floor in need of an upgrade. Garbage disposal was an issue. The garage was overflowing with not only our garbage but the previous guests as well. Sorry to be so critical because we did enjoy our 5 days there but no denying the cleanliness issue ##### Deborah F. App said contact local number for help yet no local number was in the app. Called the 800 number and took hours before being contacted back. Dec 19, 2021 #### Family Getaway The house was enormous and just perfect for all 19 people that joined us. We had space for everyone and then some. It las a nice quiet place to relax and enjoy some down time. The kids enjoyed the games and the outside play area. We will definitely be back. ##### Pedro S. The AC worked great, laundry offered two sets washer/dryer for a crowd, spacious kitchen, bed and bathrooms. We did deal with an ant issue in kitchen area and feel with the size of this property, a larger stove/oven would be ideal as you will be more than likely cooking for a crowd.
