The house was the sweetest spot for a low-key retreat with friends and family- peaceful, comfortable, and perfectly located right on the water. We spent our days kayaking, playing frisbee, watching birds and seals from the shore, and soaking in the quiet beauty of the cove. It was the perfect place to gather for puzzles, card games, and easy meals together. The kids had an amazing time exploring the woods and venturing out to Big Rock at low tide. The home sits at the end of the road so the view is perfect. The large porch is such a great place to sit and enjoy your morning coffee, or enjoy family and friends. Plenty of space for all, large table for dinner. We could even enjoy the view outside while it rained on the outdoor covered patio. The lawn was perfect for cornhole and other gamesZ we loved the stargazer patio to watch the sunset and lounge with cocktails. Easy beach access to put in kayaks and fishing from the rocks. We loved hanging out on the porch and watching the water, my kids loved playing in the tide pools, and everyone loved playing games on the back lawn. Oct 18, 2016 #### Lovely, quiet home on the water Five friends each had their own bedroom in this home with so many architectural details. We enjoyed sunrise and sunset at the waterfront while we watched the locals tend to their lobster pots. The home is located in a quiet community, but has access to all of the tourist spots along the coast of Maine. This was the first trip to Maine for most of this group, and it’s safe to say we’re all in love. Being on the water was wonderful, and we enjoyed the amazing views as well as the hikes and adventures on the rocks during low tide. The pictures of the house don’t do the woodwork justice, and the grill made mealtimes easy. My only flag - the upstairs bathroom only had a tub and no shower, and with a number of girls in the group with long hair, it required some scheduling of shower time. The house is as advertised — charming. The best part for us was the abundant outdoor space open to a finger of the Atlantic Ocean. The views from this property were spectacular! We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this vacation home - the ideal home away from home. The house was well-appointed and perfect for entertaining our large family (ranging in age from elementary school kids on up to college kids - plus Nana). The restaurant reviews were spot on. The weather was fantastic and week flew by quickly. It was the perfect place to spend the last week of summer before all the kids had to head back to school.
