Community Pool, Close to Town - Lucky 7 on Folly Beach! Welcome to 7 Turtle Bay on Folly Beach! Enjoy panoramic Folly river views from the community pool. Fish the river from the community dock with fishing rods and equipment found in the garage. All 3 bedrooms are spacious with plenty of storage in each closet to unpack and settle in. Each bedroom is accompanied by a full bathroom, so everyone has their space. Conversations flow seamlessly through the open floor plan on the first floor and out onto the screen porch. For a little privacy or just want a different viewpoint, escape to the private balcony off the second floor master bedroom. Stir up a delicious family meal with kitchen gadgets, Keurig, pots, pans, and utensils provided. Find all the necessary serveware to dish out your creation to your hungry guests. Need inspiration? Try your hand at a quick 30-minute, or southern recipe found in one of the cookbooks. Gather around the 6-person dining table for dinner or nightly card games. Keep the family chef company sitting on the 2 bar stools at the kitchen island. Cozy up in the living room on the couches. Large flat-screen TV with cable and DVD player can keep you up to date with your shows and entertainment at night, or on the rare rainy day. Hardwood floors run throughout the main living areas of the first floor, giving the townhouse a fresh feel. Beachy, island decor creates a welcoming ambiance. Head out onto the screen porch, accessible from the living room, to kick back and enjoy the Folly breeze on the cushioned patio furniture. Master bedroom on the second floor holds 1 king bed with a flat-screen TV and a large walk-in closet to hold all of your belongings. Through the closet, find the large ensuite bathroom with a standing shower, garden tub, and double sinks. Relax with your coffee or a cocktail on the private balcony. Down the hall, you'll find the closet holding the full size washing machine and dryer, as well as the second bedroom. Second bedroom has 1 queen bed, lots of closet storage space, and a TV. Full bathroom with tub/shower combination is ensuite with this queen bedroom. Third bedroom is on the first floor, also with 1 queen bed, closet, and a TV. Third full bathroom has another tub/shower combination, and is accessible from the first floor bedroom and the hallway. All lamps are USB compatible for easy device charging. Plush bath towels and high-end linens are provided for the maximum occupancy of the home. Available parking for up to 3 vehicles; 1-2 vehicles can park in the garage, and the third will fit in the covered car port. Have fun in the sand and surf using the provided beach chairs, beach cart, and some water toys. Catch a big one with the fishing rods, lures, line, buckets, traps, and other tackle found in the garage. Feel free to use the metal detector to try your luck at finding some hidden treasure on the beach. Fishing licenses can be obtained at Walmart, located 3 miles from the island, or the Folly Beach Fishing Pier, at the center of town. Small, foot wash-off can be found to rinse your feet or beach items off just outside the back garage door, on the ground level patio. Eat at one of the local restaurants, shop at the surf and souvenir shops, stroll down the Folly Beach Fishing Pier, and listen for live music on Center Street, the downtown area of Folly Beach. Visit the picturesque Morris Island Lighthouse beach at the far, east end of the island for a tranquil walk and shelling. Pick up some local artisan gifts and locally made food from the seasonal markets. Downtown Charleston is only a 20-minute drive to historic tours, harbor walks, carriage rides, world-class dining, boutique shopping, and the South Carolina Aquarium. 7 Turtle Bay is not pet-friendly and non-smoking. Amenities include fully stocked kitchen, modern appliances, free WIFI, cable TV, DVD player, 3 car parking, beach and fishing equipment, golf cart rental, high-end linens and towels, starter amenity kits for the bathrooms and the kitchen, hair dryers, full-size washing machine and dryer, central heat and air conditioning. Must be 25 years old or older to rent. No events or parties allowed that exceed the maximum occupancy of the property. Surveillance devices are present on the property for security purposes. The condo itself is not on any water and the balcony overlooks a parking lot, but that did not concern us as we were hardly there. Beautiful Folly Beach is an easy 10 minute walk away; we would walk there every evening after dinner and watch the sunset. The condo is clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet. The garage is full of beach/fishing supplies that the owner shares. We had a couple of minor issues (a missing gate key and the water was turned off when we arrived). Photos showed a tent with the caption labeled “beach equip provided. Spend the day at the beach!” There was no tent available but did have chairs and coolers available. I wouldn’t recommend this place for families with young kids (ours is 3 and 1). There was to many little things they could grab off bookshelves and counters and all the side/coffee tables were glass. The home was larger than we anticipated and it fit our needs perfectly. We enjoyed the quiet area but still being close to the action. We fished every day off the dock and enjoyed the pool. Jun 30, 2020 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Great Stay in Turtle Bay Lucky #7 Condo! We really enjoyed our stay at the Lucky #7 Condo in Turtle Bay. Everything was as exactly as described in the listing. Short little walk to the beach and to the main street in town. The linens were great and beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed being able to use the amenities that came with the property in order to do some fishing and trying to catch some blue crabs. We rented paddleboards and enjoyed using them on the river. Great little place to stay in Folly Beach! Would love to return some day!! ##### Nicole Showers S. Apr 15, 2023 Liked: Check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Great spot, comfortable space This was a great location, spot and comfortable space our our family of 5\. We enjoyed our time. The kitchen had sufficient items to use to cook and we enjoyed everything. One recommendation is that the walls get repainted. My biggest pet peeve when renting is a listing has spotless pictures and great clean reviews and then you arrive and the walls are so marked up, it’s a complete turn off. Luckily it was mostly the high traffic areas, especially going up the stairs. People underestimate the power of a magic sponge between guests and touch up paint once a year. It saves you on a complete repaint. Other than that, the place met expectations. Definitely recommend renting a golf cart. It was a highlight to be able to golf cart to the Main Street or beach. Jan 2, 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication #### December on Folly not Jolly Never having experienced the area before we did not realize how small the town was with only a handful of restaurants. It was unseasonably cold and there was nothing to do especially with teenagers. It was also not as close to Charleston as we were led to believe by other reviews. You would not be driving back and forth for dinners or anything other than a day trip into Charleston. The property itself if fine. Nothing special or great. Serviceable. It could use a refresh of the carpet and linens and blankets. It felt tired and a little run down. Might be good for a big family. It is run by a property management company and they are very chintzy with the products provided in terms of amount and comfort factor. I have seen better TP in fast food restaurant bathrooms. The kitchen is overly stocked with useless items like a bread maker and way too many cups and plates it was overwhelming. However, the beds were ridiculously soft. If you need a firm bed for a good night's sleep you will not find it here. There are no clocks! No bedroom has a clock. Only on the oven and mucrowave. So weird. No salt. No.pepper. no coffee filters. Really? This might have been listed but really? I don't exoect a stocked pantry but these things are cheap and basic. No beach towels. Again, I think this was listed but really? Wr are at the beach!! These are the types of things I don't want to buy and are super easy for the owner to provide and make me want to rebook. Directions for the TV? None. Couldn't figure it out. The location and allotment was nice, but surrounding places were trashy. I guess you get that sometimes. Overall I would not rebook. This time we stayed in turtle bay. For several reasons: there was a pool, close to the beach and fishing access on the property. We rented a golf cart which I highly recommend due to parking restrictions. There are lots of free golf cart parking as opposed to paid parking for a car. And that gets pricey. We also found out after we had already rented the cart that there were several other rental places on folly that are cheaper. So check around. I have a few issues with this stay: the jacuzzi didn’t work. Not a huge deal, but it didn’t work. I didn’t know this until I ran the water, got in and tried to turn it on. Nothing. We got up early Wednesday to go on a fishing trip. When we opened the garage door, there was a car parked in our bay. The people who were staying next to us had more cars than the parking rules allowed and it looked like there was no one in our unit since we parked everything in the basement. So at 6:30 in the morning, my husband is beating on the door and ringing the doorbell trying to wake them up. Finally someone came to the door, with a barking dog I’ll add, and moved the car. The picture on the website of the basement and the “beach equipment” that we could use. There is pictured 2 kayaks along with other equipment which lead us to believe we would be able to use. Not the case. There was a sign on them that said for owner use only. That’s fine but don’t include those in the picture. Lastly, one day as we pulled back in from being out a repair van pulled in behind us and said he was there to fix the ice maker in the fridge. I said I didn’t know you were coming. He said it’ll take about 30 minutes but you don’t have to be here. Um no, I rented this unit and I will not leave you here. So we stayed until he did whatever it was that he was doing. I did call the office on that one. First of all, he could have come in while the unit was being cleaned and did what he needed to do. Second, if that couldn’t be done, then we should be given the courtesy of a phone call because if I had walked in and someone was in our unit, he would have more than likely been hurt. This is a beautiful unit with plenty of room. We have a teenage boy and girl and they had their own room with a bathroom which is nice. We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch as well. We will more than likely stay here again but I would like to have a unit with a better view.
