Management failed to respond.

Posted 3-Dec-2016
The stay was good until the morning. The shower stopped producing hot water and I had to rinse in ice water since I was soaked up. The power went off and breakfast was a no show. So the person on duty failed to do anything to include buying our breakfast elsewhere. Just a shoulder shrugger

Our room was spacious and clean but the hotel itself had seen better days.

Better options available

Posted 27-Nov-2016
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Bad renovations, walls are paper thin and slightest of the noise from the room next door will keep waking you. Not an exaggeration!
Location: Shopping area and restaurants about 15 minutes away
Walls are paper thin and hallways smell of cigarettes.

Major cleaning needed

Posted 16-Nov-2016
The woman working the front desk was nice, do I'll start with that. Once we walked into the hall to our room, we noticed the carpet had obviously not been swept in quite a while. In the room, it was apparent that the cleaning staff has never used the crevice tool on the vacuum, nor have they ever moved the nightstands to vacuum. You couldn't see the color of the carpet around the edges due to the dirt/dust gathered. My husband was trying to plug in the microwave and the outlet wasn't even anchored in the wall and buzzed and crackle when he tried to plug it in. Can we say fire hazard? In the bathroom, only the tops of surfaces had been cleaned. The base of the toilet and outside of the tub had not been touched in a while. Also, the walls are so thin that we could hear every cough and nose-blowing from the gentleman next door. Poor guy obviously had sinus problems, but I certainly did not enjoy being awakened by him hacking up phlegm no less than 8 times in the early morning hours. Very disappointed with this hotel. I would recommend a serious overhaul and cleaning be done.

Ok for the money

Posted 15-Nov-2016
Pros: Hot breakfast was good, but they were not fast to refill
Cons: Very noisy, people talking all night, doors opening and closing. We couldn't get the heat to come on so we let it on at the pre set of 68°

Close to the fishing area

Adequate for what we needed. Close to fishing location. The breakfast buffet the next morning was awesome and ready to go at 6 am

Terrible, terrible choice.

Posted 2-Nov-2016
Location: Outside of Erie - thought price would be worth the location for driving purposes. Definitely wrong. Would have gladly paid more to stay closer.
Room was so dirty. We were in the very back of the hotel, looked like it had been years since it was touched by cleaning associates. Carpeted floor was old, worn down, and noticeably dusty. Visible stains on the ceiling. Air conditioner took forever to kick on, and had a noticeable odor when it did. We were exhausted after traveling and jumped into the bed - literally, not wanting to touch the floor - slept, woke up, checked out immediately. Gross. Would not stay at again. If it hadn't been for the hour, I would have approached front desk about it. Didn't have the time or energy. Please do not waste your money by staying here. To sum it up with one complaint - we kept our luggage on top of the entertainment console because we didn't want it touching the floor or table as they were both dirty. Again, gross.

Better choices in the Erie area

Posted 30-Oct-2016
Location: About 5 miles west of Erie, with not much around.
The desk staff was cordial and efficient, and they came to our room when the heating system didn't work. However the entry to our room was awkward since one outside door didn't open with our key card. It's a long walk from the back rooms (where we were) to the lobby and cafe, and the hallways reek of cigarette smoke. Our room was OK, and the complimentary breakfast was good (buffet in the cafe). The motel has a weird layout, and I wonder if the architect is still employed in his field.
