Red Flag

Posted 22-May-2016
An alcohol swab came with our room. Not kidding. Lots of repairs needed. Run down.

Hotel was fine - off the beaten path for Erie, PA,

Posted 6-May-2016
Pros: Appropriately priced for the services provided. This room had coffee, whereas our previous hotel the night before did not. This feature is a must.
Cons: Larger towels. TV controller and information
Location: This was not where the bulk of the hotels were, but still close enough for easy access to Erie amenities.
Available full, hot breakfast in attached restaurant / pub was terrific. Service there was great - our waitress had a lot of character. Only weak part was insufficient front desk staff (one person running around doing multiple tasks). Also, the TV set up was poor. No TV listings or guide until front desk brought it, and TV could not be properly mated to remote control for full function. We enjoyed the note providing prices for hotel amenities offered "for sale" rather than billing for stolen goods. This was a very subtle, clever and proactive way to discourage pilfering and slippage.

Worst hotel I've EVER stayed in.

Posted 7-Apr-2016
Hotel was AWFUL. Smelled like garbage dump upon entering. The hall carpets were so badly stained they looked like they had NEVER been cleaned. There was paper and food particles all down the hall. There was black mold in several spots in the hallway ceiling tiles. It was so bad that they had the room number written on the wall with a magic marker. The room was suppose to be a non smoking room but upon entering the first thing I noticed was a cigarette burn hole in the bed spread. The tub had cracked and broken tiles around it and black mold on the walls. I would recommend the Bates' Motel before I would stay here again. Don't go to this hotel.

Smelly! Not in a good way!

Posted 4-Apr-2016
The staff was plesent enough and the bedding was clean. But the whole place smelled bad! Our bath room was not very clean and really grossed out my son! That is hard to do to a 12 year old! The one saving grace was the free all you could eat breakfast buffet! That was very good!!! Homemade sausage gravy, you don't find that very often!

Noisy unfriendly

Posted 20-Mar-2016
There was no heat and the room was dirty. The noise from other rooms made you feel you were in their conversation. The area was very secluded.

OK for a quick stop

Posted 11-Mar-2016
Pros: Ease of access
Cons: New carpet, thorough airing out to clean the air
Location: No clue, we were passing through
Room had that "cheap hotel" smell. Bed was comfortable, carpeting was gross. Breakfast was good food but slow because only one person was working. She, however, did an excellent job and was the only reason I gave a 3 rating. That waitress deserves a raise and a heart-felt thank you.

Room was dusty and had wall paper coming off the walls. Coffee machine looked like it and the rest of the room was never dusted or lived in. Significant accumulation of dust on the vents both in the ceiling and the wall unit. Breakfast was great, staff very friendly. Perfect for the one night stay cheap. Bed was clean.
