Nice hotel not far from what we went to do

Posted 22-Aug-2016
The hotel was nice and close to all the things we went to Erie PA to do. The buffet breakfast was delicious and had more than I was expecting for a selection, staff was very helpful and courteous.

Not what I expected

Posted 21-Aug-2016
The outside of the building looked terrifying and it felt like it was in the middle of nowhere. The room was clean though and I felt more comfortable one I was inside. The hotel staff was pleasant.

Was extremely pleased with our stay. The rooms were spotless and the breakfast was great! Was in town very early and they let us check in early! Would definitely stay again!

Good hotel for the money

Posted 18-Aug-2016
Music from the bar is loud. People in the parking lot. Lots of semi's parked in the lot. Ambulance with lights flashing entered while we arrived. Did not know what to expect. The overall atmosphere might not be suitable for young children. The night manager was efficient and knowledgeable, The room was large and clean and quiet. The room was pre-chilled (on a hot summer's eve) and the on the wall thermostat worked well. The refrigerator was medium sized and quiet. If you are looking for a place to sleep while on the road, this could be it.

Almost stayed in the car instead.

Pros: Locks on the door and the bed linens seemed clean.
Cons: The representation of this property on all online listings. The reviews surely are fake. This is one star at very best.
Location: Party in the parking lot.
Without disparaging the owners, who are probably doing their best with what they've got, this was not the type of establishment we would ever choose to stay in. If we weren't already at our destination, we would've hopped in the car and kept driving. I imagine they are fighting an uphill battle to keep things clean, in good repair and ...from being stolen, judging by the ala carte charges for things like hairdryers, coffee pots and towels. Based on the parking lot party scene, I'd say their regular customers are maybe not so respectful of the property. Therefore you get broken furniture, mystery stains, and an unidentifiable stench to keep you awake all night. I've never heard my husband say the word "stench" so many times in a 24 hour period. No one felt comfortable taking a shower. We were assured by the signs next to the fire damaged entrance that it was caused by an errant cigarette butt and nothing electrical, so that was a plus.

The room served its purpose. They were not the best rooms we have ever been in but they were not bad either. The staff was not very friendly but not rude either. My stay was okay.

Nice place to stay

Posted 4-Aug-2016
Pros: The employees were courteous and friendly.
Cons: This is an older hotel and needs a lot of updates on carpeting.
Location: Not far from the beach, shopping, air port, relatives, parks, zoo, and good food.
My granddaughters enjoyed the pool. It needs some repair. I was happy to be close to Erie and the things going for it. In the evenings we stayed in the hotel and read, watched tv, and the girls were on their electronics. The bathroom was small but adequate. I loved the roomy bed and good nights sleep. For the price I don't think I could have found a nicer place to stay. The complimentary breakfasts were filling and delicious.

Not fancy but clean and a great breakfast

Posted 1-Aug-2016
Cons: Need to complete resurfacing of pool.and deck.
Very easy access from highway. Pool is aging but was open and clean. Same with hotel - shows its age on the outside, but rooms were clean, nice crisp sheets, very clean bathroom, etc. We stayed here a couple years ago and came back because of nice breakfast (way better than most lower priced motels), pool, location, and reasonable price. Also liked that nonsmoking room really was that, i.e., no lingering smoking smells and apparently not near smoking rooms as we did not smell anyone smoke.
