this is a great hotel in the historic district of downtown Cleveland. The hotel is an 1880's building. lots of great buildings in the area and very close to coffee, restaurants, and bars. loved our stay there.

The property is walking distance to quiet a few attractions like the ballpark, casino, dining and nightlife. I always stay here when I travel to Cleveland and it has been nothing short of excellent every time. Staff at front desk, valet and breakfast are second to none. Room is always clean and very open and airy!

The hotel and accommodations were very nice. Our room was spacious and clean and the area was quiet. The valet system, although convenient, was a hot mess. They seemed very short staffed when we arrived, blocking traffic during check in. We sat there for about a half hour before we got close enough and comfortable enough to leave our car. When we approached the desk, the attendant was very rude. I’m pretty understanding about stuff like this, however not rudeness. When it came time to leave, we once again had to wait more than a half hour for our car. Once it got there the attendant did not check the ticket gave my keys to someone else. They started to open my car and load up their belongings before I could stop them…in my car. All that to say, the stay was good. Valet needs improvement.

Toilet did not work. The hotel sent up an “engineer” to fix it. They could have switched rooms for me. It work led two more times. We went to the baseball game and returned late that night to a toilet that didn’t work again. Upon checkout the hotel said they couldn’t refund any of my money because this was booked using Expedia. Holiday inn’s have seemingly deteriorated over the last decade. Will not be using them going forward.

Stay was fine. Staff was great. Breakfast was good, the lady working the dining area was outstanding. 2 complaints: Most of the floors did not have an ice machine or it was not working. Secondly, the dresser drawers kept opening. We told the desk and they said it was because the building is tipping. If that is the case, you need to buy dressers with self-closing drawers.

Nice historic downtown property, beautiful wide hallways, large rooms with high ceiling's and oversized windows. Clean but shows not unexpected age. Fantastic central location between the Rock and Roll museum and Progressive Field. Close to a wide array of dining options.
