Our family was on a long road trip and just needed a motel to sleep for the night. We booked on expedia and arrived at around 8:30 pm. The women at the front desk checked us in, but seemed somewhat confused. A few minutes later, as we went to go into the motel room, we found her in the room desperately trying to clean it up. She then explained that she had to finish getting it ready (but no mention of that was made when we checked in). Had we know, we would have gone elsewhere. Once we were let in, we found that the beds didn't have sheets or pillow cases, there were dirty towels in the bathroom on the floor and the bathroom sink was full of hair. We had to go down a number of times and ask for clean towels, sheets, etc. Basically, we had to make up our own room and clearly no cleaning had been done in between guests. My husband spoke to the women at the front desk, and while she appeared to be trying to help, it was obvious that she lacked the authority or the ability to do anything about it. We asked to speak to the manager and she said she would call him, but unclear if that ever happened. I would love it if management would contact us to see how they can compensate us for the horrible experience. I know Super 8 is not a fancy hotel, but I have never experienced anything like this before. It was unnerving, especially with COVID. After the fact, I read other reviews and it appears that our experience is not an isolated incident. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.
