"Great location, decent hotel"
I stayed for 12 nights for a business trip and I was just content with it - not extremely satisfied or dissatisfied. The beds were comfortable, large TV, ample desk space. However the shower drained slowly so each time I showered there was a decent amount of water in the bottom of the tub, all of the room service menus are on the TV and they apparently do not offer desserts and 4 niights I had to get staff to issue me new key cards because they stopped working. The staff wasn't empathetic in the situation and didn't offer anything for the inconvenience, one time is understandable and I wouldn't expect too much empathy but but 33% of the time I was there is unacceptable. The windows were also extremely dirty so I couldn't enjoy what could have been a great sunrise view of Downtown Buffalo. The hotel has a new Starbucks in the lobby with almost everything you would expect from a typical store (they only have pastry/bakery items, no bistro boxes or anything like that) and has EB Greens, which apparently is ranked #2 steakhouse in the country by some renowned reviewer, although I was not able to dine there during this stay so I cannot attest to their food. Overall, I would stay here again - only due to it's location, the walking distance to many restaurants and nightlife.

"Great hotel in downtown"
Friendly staff and great facilities. Some room fittings are a little cheap and the aircon is loud. Restaurant was closed for renos but the breakfast was great as well as evening snacks. Valet parking very convenient.

Great stay. They just need to fix the door to the pool not working. We had to get someone to come and open it each time.

"History and sophistication with a nice surprise"
We went for a little get away for our anniversary over the August long weekend. Upon check-in staff upgraded us to a junior suite. Room made nice use of limited space with a certain elegance. The dining room reeked of history with old dark wood. The breakfast is a full hot breakfast, not a continental one as advertised, another nice surprise.

I wish I could have stayed longer, but for the one night, it was a comfortable stay in a great room and helpful staff.

Hotel was well maintained, clean, and well staffed. Make sure however to note where the shuttle from the airport picks up it's not where most other hotel shuttles arrive and although close by can be confusing for weary travelers.

Good location, easily accessible. Very loud event in ballroom which was very loud in our room. Bathroom was definitely smaller than typical bathroom. The pool was oddly placed in hotel and required walking past event rooms to reach from hotel room. Restaurant downstairs was really nice.
