I booked on expedia for a 3 night stay at the Hilton Garden Inn and before the day of the trip, I changed it to a 2 night stay with expedia. When we got to the Hotel, they had the cancellation but expedia forgot to advise them of our 2 night stay reservation. It took an hour to resolve this and it was tough after a long day on the road. Not something we wanted to deal with at that point. We also realized we could have gotten the room for $40 a night cheaper which kind of eliminates the purpose of booking through Expedia. Also, if we would have booked through the hotel itself instead of expedia, we would have received 2 full breakfast for all 4 of our family. Add that you can cancel up to 24 hours before with no penalty with the hotel directly, I'm very disappointed with our experience.
