The exterior is full of character & sits on the beautiful Niagara river. However, the interior is a letdown. There is no pool, no fitness room, no pool. And the rooms are laid out very choppy. They lack “feng Shei”. The bathroom had no counter or shelf even. The room was huge too, yet when you entered you entered down a long hall into a bathroom! The bed was very comfortable and it had a lovely fireplace. It definitely has potential. The lobby needs some work as that is what the guests see first!
Very pretty setting and good place to relax. The building is quite old and may need some upgrades. Clean and comfortable rooms.

I am not one to be negative with reviews. But this is the first time in a long time I have been so disappointed with a hotel stay. First the positives. We were able to check in early, free parking, and the walk to the Artpark was perfect. Close to lots of eateries and shops and the water. The negatives: room was bare minimum. No conditioner or hooks for towels in bathroom (nor any counter space to put your toiletries). We had the worst sleep we’ve had since college days where hotels were rented out for parties. The room we stayed in - 322, must have been directly below a staff room or common space because the door continually slammed and people
Appeared to be walking on a bare floor for hours starting at 11pm and lasting until we left at 8 am. Even with earplugs I was ready to drive home or go sleep in the car. Although I am mindful that this hotel caters to events at Artpark (which we were there for) this was over the too loud. Additionally, the breakfast although free was very carb/sugar heavy. All pastries, bagels, cereals. I’ll give you the temperature of then hot water for tea and coffee was great. No umbrellas up on the patio so you had to sit in the blazing hot sun. It just felt like after Covid nothing was operating or up and running there “yet”. Having said all of this, if the hotel had a reasonable fare in the 100-150 range I wouldn’t even complain for what I got. But we paid close to 275 Canadian!!!! I’ve have luxury hotels with full hot breakfast for less.
Location, location, location! Great location. The hotel itself was a little outdated but you can't beat the location.

We got the whirlpool king suite. The tub was too small for the 2 of us and the jets barely worked. Very disappointed. When I went to check in there was no one at the desk and i had the call the front desk to tell someone i needed to check in.
