This stay has been extremely disappointing. Housekeeping entered the room to remove breakfast dishes, but the bed was not made, amenities were not replenished, and no fresh towels were provided. Even more concerning, my personal silverware and cups—which I brought from home—were taken without permission. In addition to the issues mentioned above, there were bugs in our room—the creepy, crawly kind—which made the stay even more uncomfortable. To make matters worse, during our first visit in November we woke up to no hot water. This is completely unacceptable, especially in Buffalo, New York, where cold and snowy weather makes hot water a basic necessity, not a luxury. The continental breakfast, which is free, was a pathetic joke. Of course.We ended up going out for breakfast. Bar is great but very limited hours and “breakfast” was terrible, basically cereal and English muffins. Minimal staff. A few at front desk were helpful and props to lovely bartender Marty. They also have some heating issues, with pockets of cold spaces and lukewarm showers. The architecture is renowned. The hotel was very quiet. I stayed there in 2020 under other ownership and there is a definite difference. I preferred the previous stay which was much more lively and welcoming - so it’s just a different vibe now and that’s okay!
