Nous n'avions pas dîné et il ne nous a pas été possible d'avoir un repas, le service étant terminé. Nous aurions dû dîner sur le bateau, nous le saurons la prochaine fois ! The staff were wonderful, and the location can't be beat. We unwound each night with a half-pint on the beautiful terrace that is set along the riverbank. The building is a lovely old hodge-podge of levels. We were at the top of it, which involves a stairs-climb that could be hard for some. There is ample parking (very welcome!). It's at the edge of the village, which meant it was a short, pleasant walk to find country lanes for an evening's stroll. Stayed 2 nights this week with my husband for a belated anniversary trip. Our room was large, clean and comfortable, with a lovely river view. The breakfast and evening meal were superb. We also enjoyed the quiz on Thursday night. The attentive staff and excellent service complemented a relaxing and enjoyable visit. We would happily stay there again and we will be highly recommending The Abbey Inn to all. Really friendly staff and a lovely room. Located next to an idyllic looking stream with a bar downstairs and great looking food. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and all well cooked. A few minutes walk from the beautiful Buckfast Abbey and a few minutes drive from the quaint shops in Buckfastleigh.
