Our vintage house that has been totally renovated into 3 units apts. Please keep in mind it is an older house which might come with some old house small creaks and what not. Occupationally we make exceptions to allow pets or visiting pets. $250/Pet non-refundable fee will be requested after reservation confirmed. Pets are NOT allow to get on the beds, furniture, sofa, etc., Pets must not roaming around without attendants. You are required to clean up after your pets. $250 fee plus the cost of damages will be charged if any violation of these terms found at property. Check in time is at 4PM and after. We won't be able to know the early check in availability prior to your check in day morning due to instant booking and you will be notified if it is available. $75 early check in fee will be requested for any early check in before 2PM. Please note that check out time is at 10 AM, prior approved late check out without additional fee is 11AM. Late checkout without prior approval from 10:15 AM-noon will incur a $75 penalty, noon-2PM will incur a full one night stay rate penalty. We have two full bathroom with large shower, no bathtub. There are three half flights of stairs. Please check listing photos. Large front porch is shared with all residents from the three apts. No music or loud party at front porch please, please respect the quiet hours 9PM-8AM, smoking is ok at front porch with door closed. Being in the city and surrounded with all the convenience, if you are not a city person or never lived in a city, you might experience a bit of noise from the street or our next door neighbors occasionally when everything quiet down. Parking is not assigned and it is free on the street. We do not provide cable for TV, but we do have smart TV that allow connection to websites like Youtube, Netflix, Hulu and Vimeo and social media sites. Smart TV and High speed wireless internet is provided as a convenience only and is not integral to be part of rental agreement. No refund of rents shall be given for outages, content, lack of content, speed, access problems, lack of knowledge of use, or personal preferences with regard to internet service and smart TV. May 1, 2019 #### The place had character Bare in mind that this was only our second experience with HomeAway, and we were not happy before our arrival since the race we had come to town to run a race that was postponed due to weather so we thought we were going to spend the whole time watching TV since it was non-refundable. As it turned out, we have some nice weather. Parking on street wasn't a problem. It's an old building that could use some sprucing up, but that apartment was clean with lots of character. It was a challenge to open the lockbox on the door because of the dark hallway and woodwork. I loved the cats pictures on the wall, and the bed was quite comfortable, but the apartment didn't get very dark at night. With the streetlights and lack of curtains on all the windows it was quite bright. The building itself seemed to be quiet, but there was quite a bit of street noise and creaky floor to keep me awake. The bathroom was an experience. There's not much room for anything and we had to use the toilet sitting sideways because we couldn't fit between the commode and the tub. The location was fair. There's a few eateries close by with a few others that are walkable as well as Railroad Park. Beware of that hill by Quinlan Castle, it's a workout. lol ##### Coleen G. Mar 21, 2022 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication #### Nice size space but questionable neighborhood Walls are thin and we were woke up by some domestic fighting in middle of night. Pluses are property manager was super helpful with maintenance issues…minuses were the maintenance problem - fridge was broken for our stay. Dryer wouldn’t shut off unless you open the door. The unit had plenty of towels and bed linens. Shower was roomy. Mattress was pretty firm so boyfriend loved and I thought it was too hard. No TV in bedroom and there was stains on carpet in bedroom as well as throw rug in living room. It smelled amazing in there and seemed to be pretty clean. I would recommend if you need a place to crash and do not plan on hanging out there much. We will probably rent a house next time as we were there to visit family and didn’t like having all the noise from other people coming through walls. The owners made it very easy to check in and find everything around the house. The location was great with nearby restaurants and a well stocked convenience store two blocks away. There were plenty of towels and sheets but the addition of having a washer and dryer was quite nice. The bed was extremely comfortable. The owners directions were clear and easy to understand. Jun 25, 2017 #### Cute and chic apartment in fun part of town! I stayed at this apartment for a week while in town for the high school National Speech and Debate Championships. The apartment was clean, had all the things I was looking for like air conditioning, washer/dryer and character. The bed was very comfortable and I loved the hip decor. It is only a short walk from Starbucks, Jimmy Johns, Waffle House, Pancake House, and my favorite restaurant to visit when I come to Birmingham, Highlands Bar and Grill! There are also some cool shops and bars in the neighborhood. The price for this apartment and it's location was a great deal and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Birmingham.
