The house is original condition and very beautifully maintained. There was pretty much everything you could need there for use. Having a convenience store, restaurant and ice cream shop right down the street was convenient and we made many trips. The check out requirements were minimal which was refreshing, some places leave you a whole chore list. Washington/Cog Railway This place was perfect for the four of us. Immaculately clean, extremely roomy, very well appointed with everything we could have needed and more. A one block walk to the intersection with Main Street at which there is a brew pub/restaurant, a lovely coffee house, a deli/convenience store and 24 hr. gas station. What more could you need. It is a 25 minute drive to trailheads for Ammonoosuc Ravine and Jewell trails and the base station for the Cog Railway. There are beds for nine in the four bedrooms (one room has two bunk beds) upstairs, and a nice kitchen, large dining room, two living/sitting rooms and a beautiful covered front porch on the first floor.
