From lazy summer days kayaking down the river to bundling up and hitting the snowmobile trails in the winter and all the beautiful spring and fall colors in between this fully loaded cottage is just what you’re looking for! Great location to get you where you want to be! On the river. 1 mile away from Lake Superior. 20 minutes away from Pictured Rocks. The property was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The kayaks provided were a nice perk. If you use them, just beware that you need to carry them to an access point. It is almost impossible to carry them down the hill. We had an issue when we used the numbered key pad to lock the door. We could not get back in using the security code and notified the property owners who responded very quickly to our problem. The beds were very comfortable and the shower, although small provided good pressure and hot water. We loved the windows and the view from the living room area. It was fun to watch all the people kayaking on the river. We did as well and enjoyed it very much. Overall, we enjoyed our week spent as the treehouse. ##### Robert W. A good location with plenty of nice hiking nearby. Just down the road was a beautiful full sand beach. But the real treat was the river itself and the kayaks that were available for use. Such a lovely, calm river ride that was 3+ hours route down to the nearby landing spot off the bridge. The only downside was that the property was right off the road, so the fire spot wasn't very secluded, but everything else made that such a small concession for our group. It was a good place for up to 4 people, and very pet friendly which was so nice. ##### Sara S. Had what we needed. House was oddly configured and has not been updated yet. Looks like it has a new roof and exterior, but interior old, but functional. Bathroom was small and lighting poor. Bed was very comfortable, however, all the other furniture was not as good. Kayaks on site, but not easy to transport from outside house down to the private dock. There is no AC and the majority of the blinds are busted so you cannot open them to open up the windows. Bring your own towels as the ones there are stained and rough. Also recommend your own TP, unless 1 ply is your thing. You’re also expected to clean the place before you leave, washing windows, vacuuming, etc. The tv was a joke, there was never a network connection for you to even watch it.
