I specifically booked and paid extra for a riverview room, and instead was placed in a room facing a parking lot. That is not a minor difference that is a completely different category of room than what I paid for. I addressed this with the front desk at check-in, but no meaningful resolution or accommodation was offered. If a hotel cannot honor a paid upgrade, there should be an immediate effort to correct it or provide appropriate compensation. At this level of hospitality, guests should not have to fight to receive what they already paid for. I am leaving this review because I would like this situation properly addressed. I am open to being contacted by management to resolve this matter, including a refund or credit for the difference in the room I booked versus what I received. Until then, I cannot recommend paying for upgraded views here, as there appears to be no guarantee you will actually receive them."
