911 Burgundy St, New Orleans - Map
"short walking distance to everything."
It's a nice place to stay, nice people who work there, good breakfast. The rooms are very small so you better like the people you are with. Bed was very comfortable, never heard any neighbors. The stairs going up to the 2nd floor are very short and its awkward carrying your suitcase up and down, although they did offer to carry it for me. Well, they offered before I saw the stairs. ;-) I would definitely stay there again because it was so close to everything. The valet parking is a little high, I would try street parking 1st.

115 Decatur Street, New Orleans - Map
"Great Location"
I picked this hotel based on being central to everything we had planned for the trip. A 20 minute walk down to the WWII museum, (same road), and turn the opposite direction out of the doorway, and you can stay on the same road all the way to Cafe Du Monde, Decatur street shopping, French Market... All on the same road. Makes it very easy to get your bearings when you are out and about!! Very close to a handful of the fine dining restaurants. And a block away from the Cooking Classes we took at Crescent City Cooking. Nice Lobby, friendly & helpful staff, and clean rooms. The bathrooms are a little small, but nothing to complain about. And the best thing, was having a ceiling fan in the bedroom!!

Nice quiet hotel in the French quarter yet our room faced a courtyard and was very quiet. Loved the jazz and wine bars. Daily breakfast was free and added value. I forgot my PJ's and have yet to receive them and was told they would be mailed out at an additional 12 dollar charge. That was the only disappointment for me.

Le Pavillon Hotel

833 Poydras St, New Orleans - Map
"Mixed review"
The hotel itself was nice enough (esp for price). Historic feel, and clean. Location isn't ideal for typical french quarter blow out, but we were there for Saints game (perfect location). We also got on St. Charles trolley and went out to uptown (very close to trolley stop). The major problem came when the power apparently went out at 3am, which resulted in cycling of various systems and multiple alarms going off. When I asked about it to desk staff, she seemed pretty unconcerned our stay was disrupted and almost perturbed I was even raising a negative to her. Probably won't stay again given the number of other options.

Hotel Modern is on St. Charles Ave street car route, a must for New Orleans visitors. It's also next door to the new WWII musium, which is very impressive. It's a 10 minute walk to the Convention Center.

If seeking a place in Jackson Square this is a great location. Eateries, coffee shops, bars, and shopping are right outside. Staff is very friendly. Hotel is older but clean and gives you that Nola boutique feel.

330 Magazine St, New Orleans - Map
"Close to French Quarter and Casino for affordable."
Refrigerator and microwave. Magazine Street turns into Decatur just a couple blocks from Canal street. Parking is $40 per day there, so consider an alternative parking option.

It can be noisy at night, particularly Saturday night, but the room is very large and comfortable. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We would stay there again.
