911 Burgundy St, New Orleans - Map
"Charming boutique hotel"
The hotel is on Burgundy Street, close enough to walk most places yet quiet as it is in a residential area. It is composed of several different buildings that were Creole cottages. Some appeared to be nicer than others; the biggest complaint I had about my room was the lack of natural light. There was a window but the plantation blinds that looked old enough to be original were stuck in a permanently closed position. Some of the rooms are across the street from reception, as was my room, but Burgundy is narrow and not busy. The room was comfortable and had free wifi and more channels to choose from on TV than most hotels. There are two small but clean pools that are well-lit and open until 11pm. Breakfast is the real deal: scrambled eggs, sausage, hot grits, biscuits, cold cereal, croissants, juice, coffee--even fried potatoes on Sunday. The staff is friendly and helpful, and any problems were taken care of right away (e.g., dead batteries in remote, burned out lights shining on the alley to my room, no towels at the pool). I would definitely stay here again.

"Great Hotel!"
The staff is so nice here...very welcoming and accommodating. The hotel location is central to downtown and the French Quarter and our room was quiet. The rooms have a European feel to them vs a traditional US hotel. We loved our stay.

"Beautiful hotel, right close to everything!"
We loved our stay! The hotel was beautiful, with a neat history, and wonderful staff! The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy, and the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and always available. If we visit New Orleans again, we wouldn't stay anywhere else!

The only negative point was when the parking people had the wrong ticket number for our car and it took about an hour to find our car. The hotel staff gave us credit for one night parking but I think the parking staff could have handled the situation better and maybe alerted us earlier when they noticed they cant find the car. Good thing we didnt need to rush to the airport! Also, the reservation mentioned continental breakfast included but they only offered coffees, apples and bananas, and bars. I wouldnt call that continental breakfast. Maybe change the wording would be more appropriate

"Room without a view"
This was my first stay at Beinville House. I have been Hotel Monteleone Loyalist for decades and wanted to give their sister property a visit. Upon arrival, Valet was overwhelmed, once at the front desk things went smoothly, The Elevator is tiny if you have any luggage and there's anyone else there. Upon opening the door to my room I was hit with a stale musty smell. Once the Door closed behind me I felt like I was in a Coffin. There were NO windows in the room and with the damp smell and signs of mold on the ceiling in the bathroom I almost checked out. Instead, I turned on the vent in the bathroom and got the AC going while propping the door open. Within an hour I was either acclimated or it was tolerable. I'm not sure I'll be back, I'll definitely always Prefer Hotel Monteleone, and will ask for a different room location. My recommendation, Avoid room 235!

"Nice and centric hotel. Loved its' architecture."
Everything was very good. Friendly staff and nice and simple breakfast. The Wi-Fi was a bit weak in the room, though; and the restroom a bit old.

"Spacious room & convenient location"
Large room with modern furnishing. Quiet street and no noise from bar that some have experienced. Short walk to Canal Street, the French Quarter and casino. Hotel staff adequate. Would definitely stay here again.
