"Great Location"
I picked this hotel based on being central to everything we had planned for the trip. A 20 minute walk down to the WWII museum, (same road), and turn the opposite direction out of the doorway, and you can stay on the same road all the way to Cafe Du Monde, Decatur street shopping, French Market... All on the same road. Makes it very easy to get your bearings when you are out and about!! Very close to a handful of the fine dining restaurants. And a block away from the Cooking Classes we took at Crescent City Cooking. Nice Lobby, friendly & helpful staff, and clean rooms. The bathrooms are a little small, but nothing to complain about. And the best thing, was having a ceiling fan in the bedroom!!

"Wonderful hotel with charm and location!"
Our room was the "Elvis" room and it was very nice. Very comfortable bed, wonderful linens and pillows. The bathroom is very small and the ceiling/door frame is very low. I'm short so it didn't bother me but my husband did have to be extra careful not to hit the doorframe every time he went in or out of the bathroom. The room is on the front of the house and is noisy (so much so that they gave us earplugs at check in) so if a quiet room is what you're after this is not the place for you. It was perfect for what we were looking for though. Something different with character in a great location. We did not have a car with us (and never will after watching the traffic and parking situations in the French Quarter, no thanks, I'll fly and take a taxi) so I can't review the parking at the hotel.

"Great get away and Location!"
This hotel is sexy and perfect for a weekend get away with your partner. The staff is very accommodating and so nice. The location for us was perfect. We were close to the French Quarter without being in the middle of it, which is good when sleeping. Speaking of sleeping, the beds were the most comfortable hotel bed, I have ever stayed in and I travel a lot. We were able to easily get to every where we wanted to go. The rooms are a tad small, but considering the amount of time we spent in them, no big deal. I did wish we had a coffee pot in our room, but again, they provide you wonderful coffee as you head out the door for your day in NOLA. We loved our stay and will be back!

"Room not ready on time and reservation issues"
We arrived at our hotel early and decided that we would go ahead and park our call so we could walk around the town. When we got to the hotel parking lot, we were charged $39.00 (plus tax) per night. On the Expedia site, it says that the price is $30.00 per night. That is something that EXPEDIA needs to fix. We returned to our hotel around 3:30 to check-in to our hotel (check-in starts at 3:00). The front desk person that our room was not ready and would be ready at 3:45, so we waited till 3:45 and were told that the room was still not ready and they would call me when the room was ready. Around 4:45 I received a voicemail that the hotel did not have a room for me. NOTE: I made this reservation on EXPEDIA two prior to my trip. After the voicemail, I returned to the hotel to see what was going on. I was told my the front desk person that they did not have a room for me for one of the two nights that I had reserved. Their solution was to put me in a room at ANOTHER hotel for one night, then I could return to La Pavillion for my second night. I told the front desk that this was unacceptable because I had already paid for 2 night's La Pavillion and I did not want to take time out of my trip to move from hotel to hotel. The front desk went to the back to talk to Hotel Manager to see what they could do. When she returned, they had my room for the two nights read. I checked and all was well.

"Return Stay"
Accidentally discovered this trendy downtown gem during my last trip to New Orleans due to a broken water main at the Omni. This time I chose Loft 523 on purpose and I'm glad I did. The king room large and perfectly appointed with everything you need.
