The hotel and staff were amazing. Everyone was so accommodating and helpful. There’s nothing like southern hospitality. You would have thought we were old friends the way the staff interacted with us. The water was hot. The air conditioner was cold. The location was perfect for a night of shenanigans. The room had so much charm. I had a corner room which meant the ceiling had a slant. Cute for pics. Not so cute when I bumped my head retrieving my luggage I had pushed out of the way. I needed to be aware of my surroundings. The bed was not the most comfortable. However, the highlight of the stay was Ty. He shared his story with us. Including what fought him back and keeps him in NOLA. We also needed transportation to the port and he took care of that for us as well. A very lovely conversation and I hope our paths cross again someday.
