"Nice small inexpensive hotel"
Nice hotel with friendly staff. The room was small but very clean. There are a lot of stairs with no elevator. Wifi did not work. If you are looking for an inexpensive simple room to lay your head then this is for you.

We loved the place.Very characteristic of an older Mexican hotel. The price is unbeatable, the desk staff very helpful, and the neighbourhood fun and friendly. We will stay again!

"Small inconveniences"
My experience at the hotel was overall ok. I only used it for sleeping. It's not near a beach but I relied on public transportation and some walking. On the first night the two lamps on the nightstand we're not plugged in and for the life of me I didn't figure where the plug-in was. The AC remote control was missing. I got those two things taken care of easily with the help of staff. I stayed with my wife for 6 nights. The room and area is kept surprisingly clean but my wife was startled by cockroach in the middle of the night. The one thing I disliked was having to get the key reactivated at the front desk everyday since they reset everyone's keys at noon. It was an annoyance having to wait in line to get your key activated.

" Condos on the beach"
Our whole family stayed there in three different condos. My daughter and husband with two small children stayed in a large 3 bedroom 3 bath and it was absolutely top rate, a five. The staff especially Maricio, our "concierge", was so helpful with everything we needed. My son and his wife stayed in a small studio and my partner and I had a large studio. I would rate his a three, comfortable but very small and ours was larger and very nice but with an old bathroom so I would rate ours a four. The grounds with 5 different pools and the views from our rooms were all fantastic. The only restaurant on the grounds is very average.

"A local's place, no frills, good, clean place. "
Check-in was a breeze, staff was nice & understood my fair amount of Spanish. I arrived 3pm just in time for check-in, the front staff gave me my key, no elevator, got up short stairs to 3rd floor to look for my room which unfortunately was not ready yet Still being cleaned. No biggie, I went up to the rooftop to survey the property & explore the hotel a bit. Went down a different flight of stairs & the front staff saw me & gasped thinking I got lost, told them no, but the room was not ready. After about 10mins it was so I went up & got unpacked & noticed, no towels, went down to ask for towel & front was surprised & didn't seem to believe me but gave me towel & everything was good. It was a really quaint & decent place to stay where all around were local's, I had a balcony room, no A/C but the weather was good enough for a celieng fan, if you're not used to humidity, go for the A/C room but I went on a decent month (April 14-18, 2016) day was warm & night got cool. If noise is a problem for you, don't get a balcony but some ear plugs & sleep aid, I was fine. Noise levels are loud at rush hours, after 11pm everything starts to mellow down but it's on a street route so some cars & bus sometimes pass by. No screens on the Windows but didn't have any issues w/ bugs or mosquitoes, used a light bug & mosquito repellant just to be safe. TV no remote but hardly even used it cause so many things to explore & do around. Good local food stalls around & very safe even late night.

"Fantastic staff and very clean!"
If you're looking for an inexpensive, no frills stay, this is a great option. The staff in every area were extremely helpful, positive, nice and always had a greeting with a smile on their face. The front desk helped us get an appointment with a really great local dentist, a trip to a beautiful grand cathedral and to several exceptional restaurants. Everything was very clean and well kept. We were only in our room long enough to shower and sleep for a 5 day stay. If this is the type of getaway you're looking for, I don't think you can go wrong for the price. Pool was small but clean and just fine for a quick dip to cool off. Almost everyone we met were Canadian and they really enjoyed hanging at the pool for the day. I preferred to get out and walk the soles off my shoes until it was time to stop for a cold Corona for 20 to 25 pesos. Current exchange rate is about 18 pesos to $1., do the math on that! By the way, we ate everything from burgers to seafood soup. No problems and delicious all the way around.

"Great Location"
My first room was noisey due to a closet next to the bed with pipes. I was moved into another room but the drapes did not cover the windows so light poured in early in the morning. There were no chairs at the table in the second room but on the day I checked out 4 newly recovered chairs were delivered when I had the no disturb sign out and 3 men and 2 women poured into the room while I had to run and grab a robe since I had just gotten out of the shower. At no time was I ever told chairs were going to be delivered and during my stay I had to drag in one chair from the patio to use whenever I wanted to sit at the table. Other than that the staff was excellent, especially Bonofacio Rojas, the concierge, and Elizabeth at the front desk. The cleaning lady was always extremely pleasant and did a great job. The room was very clean but the pillows on the bed are as hard as rocks.
