"Beautiful property but have to take shuttle to sister property Beach Club to be on the beach. Disappointed we weren’t able have dinner at Beach Club for our last night. Very expensive hotel comparatively. Have been traveling to Puerto Vallarta for over 30 years. "It’s a dated hotel, but it’s charming. The food is excellent. Truly authentic Mexican food and had several different options everyday. My kids, 8, 11 and 16 lived their food, but they eat Mexican food anyways. Maybe they should incorporate quesadillas and chicken nuggets for kids that don’t eat much Mexican food. "We enjoyed our stay very much. Our swimout pool and Hacienda suite were kept well stoked and cleaned. Staff bussled around replacing drinks and cleaning tables. We were continually offered refills and checked on. The Omlete station at El Buffet was amazing and the steakhouse sinner was out favorite. We had an amazing time. "This is the 2nd time I have brought my family to this resort. It is an older resort and could use some updating. The rooms are outdated but are clean with great views. The pool is the best part of the resort. I have been to many many resorts in Mexico for the past 25 years. Melia's pool is always warm and inviting. Others are cold even in warm weather. The staff are welcoming and nice. The spa is one of our favorites (Mary in particular). We scheduled massages for each day we were there. They are very reasonably priced. I travel with a disable adult son and all staff are always on the lookout for him and if he does run off they alert me to his location. We love MELIA!!!!"

"We recently got back, from our week stay in Mexico this Hotel met our expectations! I would recommend this hotel for family and friends, the only downside I can think of I the food. Food was not the best and was very expensive I suggest you buy the all inclusive or eat out the food is not worth the price! But overall really good experience and I would definitely come back soon! "
