"Very enjoyable stay!"
Great location from town centre. Very welcoming staff. Room was very small but clean and well decorated. All very quirky and cosy! Amazing shower! Bed wasn't very comfortable at all but I would guess every room is furnished differently so whilst our room (room 28) had an uncomfortable bed (by my own preference rather than anything else) it doesn't mean other rooms will be the same. Great breakfast! Only thing missing was a hash brown! Free parking around the hotel. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area!

"Amazing value for money. "
I would definately stay here again when getting a crossing to France. Amazing value for money. The room was spotlessly clean and tea and coffee and toiletries were provided. The bed was a bit lumpy but the hotel is gradually being refurbished it seems and for the amount that is charged they cannot possibly afford to get all new beds in one go. There is a bar downstairs but at the back of the hotel we did not hear a thing and had a sound night's sleep.

"Nice hotel in town "
Mysef, my partner and my two children stayed one night in the family room 12. Very clean and spacious, nicely decorated, shower room a little on the small side and outlook from room was over facility area so frosted glass, overall lovely room. There was no hairdryer as stated but we had one so no problem. Breakfast, service and staff lovely. One downside is parking is £10 for 24hrs on super market multi-storey. Nice and close to orangery maidstone where we attended a wedding. We arrived very late so popped down the street for takeaway pizza , room service available but we're not allowed to take our food to the room and ate in dining room at about 22.30 pm. Very reasonable price &195.00 for two nights with continental breakfast, only £5 each extra for full English. Greatly better value than the local larger hotels. Had a lovely stay and would stop again, added touch of bottled water was great

"Good overnight stay for the early shuttle"
Arrived very late, having previously advised hotel and was in our bedroom within a couple of minutes of stepping into hotel. Needed more pillows which were quickly delivered by night staff. Continental breakfast more than adequate. All staff we met were courteous and helpful.

"Best B&B we have ever stayed at."
Having spent a hectic week travelling in Europe we wanted a quality B&B in a quiet spot where we could relax and unwind. Upon arrival at Durlock Lodge we were given the Stable and Hayloft suite which is a spacious and beautifully renovated building adjacent to the main lodge. The suite had everything we needed and more including it's own private garden where we were able to relax and unwind and listen to the birds singing. The village itself is over a thousand years old and provides a beautiful and interesting walk. The church and Abbey are worth a visit and the public footpath beside the stable provides a secluded walk through hedgerows to the old original shoreline which existed prior to the Stour estuary silting up in medieval times. We have spent a lot of time in B&B's around the World and this is the best one we have found so far. We would definitely go back.
