"quirky and comfy with sea view"
We have stayed here three times now and will stay again at the next opportunity! Just love the feel of the place, from the open fires in the downstairs lounge, to waking up to a view of the harbour that can't be beaten!! We didn't have breakfast this time but have done so on previous occasions and it's great. Lovely clean rooms, comfy beds with feather pillows and white linen, lovely fluffy white towels in the bathroom and a lovely shower. They give you toiletries, plentlt of tea and coffee (with a pod -style coffee maker) and good biscuits!! Bottles of water by the bed too!! I would move in!!

"Not the most luxurious but job done"
Everything worked, basic hotel room which was reflected in the price. Decor was a little bit dated in the room, and mattress was quite old.

"Best B&B we have ever stayed at."
Having spent a hectic week travelling in Europe we wanted a quality B&B in a quiet spot where we could relax and unwind. Upon arrival at Durlock Lodge we were given the Stable and Hayloft suite which is a spacious and beautifully renovated building adjacent to the main lodge. The suite had everything we needed and more including it's own private garden where we were able to relax and unwind and listen to the birds singing. The village itself is over a thousand years old and provides a beautiful and interesting walk. The church and Abbey are worth a visit and the public footpath beside the stable provides a secluded walk through hedgerows to the old original shoreline which existed prior to the Stour estuary silting up in medieval times. We have spent a lot of time in B&B's around the World and this is the best one we have found so far. We would definitely go back.
