"The location was just what I needed."
It was a nice room and the meeting place was right there at your hotel. It could not have better. My room was quiet and very comfy and very clean. The staff was very helpful and met all my needs. I would recommend it anytime.

"Great room"
Our experience at 1 King West was very memorable. The high ceiling, balcony and bed were/ are amazing. We spent a night as part of a birthday celebration and loved it. The central location is second to none.

"Luxurious stay in downtown Toronto"
A wonderful welcome on arrival,a beautiful sumptuous room, a lovely hot shower and presto all relaxed and ready for the wedding on the main floor. Everything was exceptionally well done at the wedding including the the staff being so ready to assist. After a great wedding breakfast the next morning ( although the table seating in the mezzanine area was a little cool and not very well lit) ,we checked out, were offered an emailed receipt and directions to start our journey home. That's where things deteriorated. The directions were wrong, so we had to back tract and then take a different route home than originally planned. And then......... when checking the bank online this morning, we found out we were charged $100. More than we had booked the room at. I called the hotel immediately and spoke with someone who very curtly explained that the $100 was just in case and would be removed in a couple of days. And when I said it would have been better if we had been informed this was happening, I was bluntly told all the hotels do this and basically too bad. I am quite upset at being treated in this way. Why quote a rate and then tack on more "just in case ". Not acceptable way to treat a client in an upscale hotel whether or not the amount is returned at a later date

"Small but luxurious hotel"
When looking for a location to stay 'in town', we looked at hotels and bed and breakfasts and based on the reviews we read, decided on the Ivy at Verity which to us seemed to have the best of both worlds - the amenities of a hotel, and the intimacy of a B and B. Once we found the entrance to the hotel (117D by the way) we were greeted by the concierge who then took us up to our room, giving us the history of the building, and a tour of the facilities normally used by the members of the club in which the 4 rooms are located. The room was beautiful, large and comfortable, and extended by being able to go out onto the balcony. The bathroom and room were extremely clean. In addition to the amenities in the room, there was a common area just down the hall where coffee, tea, and soft drinks were available (complimentary). An honour bar also had a range of beverages for consumption. The common area was also where you picked up your continental breakfast. Coffee was brought up to our room very expeditiously after a simple call down to the front desk.

"The Ritz by definition spells "Luxury""
In the 21 and 19 years since our 2 girls were born , we have traveled as a family regularly and extensively. The thing about this trip was that it really was'nt "a trip" per say , as Toronto and the surrounding area is where we call home . We were in town for my business but moreover for our youngest 19th birthday celebration and we thought we would make it special ....more special than a Westin, a Sheraton ,Marriott , Hilton or even the King Eddy might be in TO , ( we have stayed at them all ) . The RC does not disappoint and is in a class of its own when compared to the former and habitats with the likes of the Four Seasons and Windsor Arms. From the minute we were greeted by the valet , to the champagne at the front desk , to the bell service it was all exceptional . Our 6th floor King Suite with Terrace was immaculate complete with TV buried behind the bathroom mirror . Even when the RC could;nt meet a request we made , to borrow a spare phone charger for one of the girls phones, they sent someone to the room to knock on the door and tell us personally . I mean , what can you say about that except that only a culture of "care" could cultivate such an atmosphere and CARE they do . This hotel will be hard to beat by any ones standards

"Great room"
The experience was great. I was hoping for more complimentary things such as, tooth brush or wine glasses but, over all I loved the room with the jetted tub. The king bed was extremely comfortable!. The only down fall was a staff told my boyfriend the complimentary breakfast started at 10am but, that's when it actually ended.
