“Very disappointed! Not a typical Hilton!”
Not impressed at all. Will never go back. This hotel only has valet parking ($40 a day). You can park yourself underground next door and it only costs $30 a day but it does not allow multiple entries. It gets to be quite expensive if you have multiple entries. The bathroom is very small and poorly designed. The worst part is that they have the toilet paper mounted at an inconvenient corner and it is unreachable for a kid or an old guy with arthritis. When you sit on the toilet, you have to be very flexible and acrobatic to reach for the toilet paper. Why put it there?! That is beyond my understanding. There is not one single bar in the bathroom to hang your face towels or hand towels. It becomes very inconvenient after you shave or brush your teeth etc. There was a constant (the whole day!) roaring/thundering noise (probably every minute or so) in my room and in the convention hall where I had my meeting. It was unpleasant, disruptive and extremely annoying. I asked at the front desk what that noise was. They said they did not know. Was it from the subway next to the hotel? But my room was on the 30th floor! Besides, the subway did not run every minute! Was it from the elevators next to my room? But the convention hall was far far away from the elevators! Besides, when you were inside or outside the elevators, you found that the elevators were reasonably quiet. Moreover, the elevators did not run every minute for the whole day. It was a big nuisance and it was incredible.
“Nice Hotel”
Nice hotel location for walking to all locations. It also had access to the underground PATH, if visiting during the winter.
“Great stay, loved the room”
Really enjoyed the atmosphere and very nice rooms. Location is a given, can't get better than that.
“Transportation limited”
if it can offer more transportation service, such as air port pick up,that will be perfect,
“excellent room with a few facing the CN tower.”
Great stay, easy resonable parking.
“Can do Better for the Price”
Although the lobby and conference rooms were quite nice, the guest rooms weren't anything special (no microwave, refrigerator). Unless you hit a deal, you can do better for your money.
“Beautiful and Accommodating”
Our flight was delayed and our luggage was lost at the airport. We did not check in until almost midnight. Hilton sent up extra robes, slippers, deodorant, razors, and anything they could find to make us comfortable until our luggage was found the next day. The staff was friendly and the views were excellent. Free internet, computer and printer use in the lobby was a wonderful bonus.
“Convenient to many restaurants, TIFF, Roy Thompson Hall, etc”
I stayed at the Hilton for a weekend convention. I flew in via Porter Airlines, took their shuttle bus to the Royal York, took the subway to the Osgoode station and was in my hotel room in under half an hour. The hotel staff were all charming. I was allowed to check in before the 3pm check in time no problem. The Tundra restaurant is excellent but pricey ... $150.00 for two without wine. The exercise room was fine with lots of clean towels available. The pool was closed for renovations ...something to check if your preferred exercise is swimming. The convention rooms were fine.
“Dirty”
Room unclean. Sticky residue on tables, floor, bathroom. Toilet in an unsanitary condition; not cleaned nor disinfected. Bath dirty from previous use (hairs, dirt, etc). . Crumbs, food residue, wrappers and other refuse on the floor, in the corners, under the table, in the bathroom by the sink, etc. Tiles grimy and/or broken. Coffee table rusted and filthy. Showerhead broken, which produced a flood each time a shower was taken (took 2 bath towels to clean up the water from the floors). "Not impressed" is a severe understatement. Unlike any Hilton I have ever been to.
“Excellent location, service, breakfast and price”
Overall, it was a great place to be at, however like any downtown area, parking is expensive. You have to find a Public Parking place because hotel parking is pricey. Ryerson Univ parking (Gould Victoria Street) is only $13.00 if you park before 0900AM to 6PM, and overnite is even cheaper.
