Everyone was so friendly and the owner popped us in her car unexpectedly to see her favorite cherry blossoms at night. The room was extremely comfortable and well equipped. We loved it!"

"The hotel is up a steep sloping street and in a quiet area. It has a traditional feel and the cafe is really nice and the hot springs, however there is no view, unless you pay for the private baths upstairs. The whole place could use a bit of a facelift, but more of an issue was the lack of service and the quality of the food, particularly dinner. We arrived too late for the 6:30 seating and was given the 7:00 p.m. seating. Clearly the appetizer box had been sitting out for a long time and...

"The room was perfect, very very clean, very comfortable bed, and - save for the lack of a coffee maker - very well equipped. The bathroom was very good and complete. The hotel itself is beautiful and has incredible views. The buffet dinner had tons of options and was top notch. Same for the breakfast. The staff in general was very nice and helpful. And the onsen was incredible, with thermal waters and very nice facilities. Arriving at the hotel is rather easy, it's a 45 minute bus ride from Odawara Station if you get to Hakone by train. And the bus leaves you just at the door. The bus also takes you to some of the most popular attractions in the area, so it is very convenient if you want to move around. We liked it so much we decided to extend our stay for an extra night, so we'd definitely go back again."
