As. Vegetarian had very limited options. Restaurants in hotels need reservations and are often not available.
Hot bath is excellent.
Garden at rear and walk to Buddhist temple and shrine is great.
Good hotel in beautiful area.close to local train and surrounding areas. Hotel is clean and has lots of history. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would recommend
Awesome hotel! The whole hotel is so beautiful, and all of the staff was so friendly and helpful. We loved that there were restaurants and the onsen and spa on site so we were able to relax without even leaving the property if we wanted. Everything was clean and well maintained and all of the restaurants were delicious! I would definitely recommend staying here if you get the chance.
We had the loveliest Japanese style breakfast, the grounds are gorgeous, and the hotel is so majestic. We used the Ibsen and sauna as well. Awesome! We will definitely will come back.
The grounds are beautiful, enjoyed exploring the gardens outside property and at kikko-sa (japanese restaurant). Historical site, old charm, great view from our room
Room was amazing. The old architecture with modern amenities was great. The onsen was beautiful. The hotel itself and the area around the hotel, including the gardens were stunning and fun to explore. A perfect oasis, I wish we could have stayed longer. Some lovely shops and restaurants within walking distance. The free shuttle up the hill to the train station was appreciated, although the walk down to the hotel is worth doing. Stop at Naraya cafe as well!
Rooms were beautiful, large and clean. Every attention to detail was purposeful. The onsen was truly an amazing experience. I highly recommend The Fujiya Hotel!
Stayed here for one night on 1/27/26 and had a delightful stay. The Fujiya Hotel was expansive and had a lot of history and story. Our room was delightful as we stayed at the Forest Wing with a beautiful view. However, the beds were okay, just felt stiff and not as comfortable as expected. Since we chose the Forest Wing, the walk from the front desk to the room is a little bit far, but it’s okay. Their hotel is lovely to explore as they have a museum at the flower palace, a chapel, pool and then a garden right behind the main building. They offered complimentary amenities such as rest area that serves unlimited soft drinks and hot coffee. We did not use the onsen, however since the bathroom is supplied with hot water from the hot spring, I used my bathtub as a good way to relax in the water. All the staff was professional and kind and provided the utmost high quality guest service. Very friendly and are attentive to making sure their guests have a pleasant stay. The location was good to go see the open air museum. They provide complimentary van shuttle to take you from the hotel to the nearby train station. The difficulty I faced was since I didn’t had a Japanese phone number, I could not contact the hotel for a shuttle to come back when I arrived back at the train station. Instead, I used GO taxi app which was sufficient. Overall, if I were to come back to visit Hakone, I would stay more than 1 night here next time at the Fujiya Hotel and explore their other rooms.
El hotel está impecable, las habitaciones super grandes y bonitas, con vista al bosque, el restaurante espectacular, la comida y servicio ni que decir, 10/10, recomendable, limpio, bonito, sin duda regresaría!
