A beautiful hotel. A heritage building with a great garden. A stylish bar and great views from the breakfast room, A very stylish onsen. Lovely staff. However, though the swimming pool is beautiful, it's not actually deep enough for a proper swim.

This is a classic, old hotel with fabulous grounds and gardens. The traditional hot spring baths were great. A traditional Japanese breakfast is available and recommended. Transportation can be a challenge as the roads get congested during busy periods.

Wow, wow, and WOW. What an amazing place. I would highly recommend this place at least for one night. The grounds are stunning and very calm and relaxing. An experience you will never forget.

It’s amazing historical places to stay. If we had had more time, we would’ve spent more than one night there. We didn’t, but you very much. Should reserve a restaurant in advance. Just do it!

This is a beautiful historic hotel and I recommend staying here. My only complaint would be the Spa. The treatment itself was lovely and relaxing but the spa itself lacked style, coziness and the treatment room itself was sterile.

The Hotel Fujiyama was a real treat. A large, stately hotel for the ages, just oozing with charm. Gardens, lounge area and dining areas were delightful. Gym and pool were well equipped, new and clean. The on-site Onsen was absolutely fantastic. Overall, a tranquil and relaxing stay, which completely transported us.

This was the most charming hotel with so much history and beautiful details. We stayed in the Angel room, which was gorgeous and spacious, and had an amazing view of the mountains. The gardens behind the property were so pretty with little walking paths and waterfalls. We loved the 1920's feel of the property. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Would highly recommend!

The Fujiya Hotel was an amazing experience. It’s a gorgeous, well preserved, historic hotel with stunning gardens and awesome amenities! We utilized the spa and onsen both nights of our stay and are very sad to leave! I hope I have the opportunity to return to this beautiful hotel!

The staff is excellent and helpful. The location is convenient to get to Hakone loop. The dinner in Cascade restaurant is excellent, 5 star delicious. The scenery surrounding the hotel is also very beautiful. Most impressive is the staff's outstanding service. It's almost like you are their life line.

A unique property beautifully mainted to the the original standard it was built. Staff extremely professional. Enjoyed the fixed course breakfast and al a carte dinner but try and reserve upon arrival since there are very few alternative dinner options in the area.
