« I would NEVER knowingly stay where I have to use an “outhouse”! No soap in outhouse. Very little cell service on Salt Spring Island; it took an hour to discover that the cabin was located BEHIND the host’s house down an unmarked back lane. There was no microwave just a BBQ. All water was outside. Thick bush meant lots of mosquitoes. Could not get gas fireplace to work. It was however very private and close to town. Windows were clean. Breakfast granola was scrumptious. »
