"Clean, basic hotel conveniently located "
We stayed for 9 days in September 2015 at this hotel. The two gentlemen at reception speak good English, and were very polite and helpful, especially with tour reservations. Every day, they had coffee and cake in the lobby. We had some initial problems with our room, and spent the first night in a different room, but they were repaired without event. The bed and bedding were clean and comfortable, and the room was simple, yet cozy, with plenty of storage. I missed having a tub, but the shower worked great. We had a tiny veranda on the 6th floor, so we could sit out and have a view of the city, and feel comfortable leaving the door open at night.
The hotel is well located on a main street, within a few blocks of the State Opera House, Museum Quarter, lots of restaurants, and shopping. There is also a main U-bahn station and tram on the same street, although many sights are within easy walking. We felt quite safe late at night, as there were always people about. Most people speak some English.
For an extra fee, there is a breakfast buffet that has a variety of cereal, breads, cheeses, and drinks from 7 - 11 AM. There is a wonderful bakery right across the street, and ATMs are close by.
A few stops on the U-bahn, and a 15-minute ride on the City Airport Train (CAT) takes you to the airport. We were pleased to discover that you can actually get boarding passes and check your bags at the CAT station, so you don't have to lug them all the way to the airport.
