About 20 min walk from the airport and 10 min walk to the beach and Hip Strip. We are right next to Summit Police Station. Also the closest restaurant and convenience store are about 2 min walk. We are located in the old complex that looks worn out from outside, but everything inside is new. The apartment is on the second floor, the balcony is facing Summit police station. From the other side of the building across the road there is a Gloriana hotel followed by Toby's resort. Newly renovated 1 bedroom spacious apartment In the older complex (Please note, everything on the Hip strip is quite old, the sacrifice you would need to make if you want to stay in this neighborhood). We have fully equipped kitchen and parking available on premises. We have AC in the bedroom and very powerful ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom. The shower is small, some guests say it's tiny. Guests say our shower is tiny. Shower dimensions: Width 26 niches (\~66 cm) Depth 28 inches (\~71 cm) Distance from the floor to the shower head 76 inches (\~193 cm) Public taxis are right outside the door. We have a dedicated driver, but you can also walk if you don't have a lot of luggage. Or take a route taxi (departures side) for \~1$ per person (shared ride with others) and ask a driver to stop by Summit Police station. Please note this is not a gated community, no 24/7 security, no pool. But we are next to the police station. We are located on the second floor (steep stairs), there is no elevator available. Water, electricity and internet disruptions/outages are not rare in Jamaica. We don't have a backup water tank/generator/internet. There are bottles of water at the apartment in case if water disruption occurs. That water is not for drinking. Absolutely no early check ins/late check outs, no luggage drop off/luggage keeping after check out. If early check in is feasible, the cost is $30 USD per early check-in (as early as 1:00 pm Jamaican local time). Unapproved late check-outs are $50 USD until noon and $100 USD after noon. Smoking is allowed on the balcony. Chefs are not allowed on the property. Eating and drinking in the bed and bedroom are strictly prohibited. Very clean inside the property, all the necessities provided, plenty room very thoughtful of guest needs. Balcony could use an umbrella or cover from sun. Location is good however the driveway very busy have to be careful when entering or leaving. The outside of the property needs work, ground needs paving and building needs paint. Plenty of light coming in but also the options to close the blinds. The police station being next door gives a extra sense of security. Clean apartment, just as pictured, utensils in the kitchen all you could need. It was ideal for me and my family including toddler because it it spacious too. The bed was soooo comfortable and option of ceiling fan and air conditioning in bedroom makes the place even more comfortable on those hot nights. I knew where the police station was and thought surely it is not one of these buildings. I rode around for thirty minutes trying to find it. I remembered there was an ariel view photo and finally found it. Once inside, the place was beautiful. The kitchen was stocked with good pots and dishes. The lack of current to some of the plugs and the stove not working too well didn't bother me because I am a frequent visitor to Jamaica and xpect that.
