This would have been excellent. However, I was out all day after my first night. Upon my return, around 4pm, my room hadn’t been serviced. I needed clean towels to shower etc and the bin emptying. The staff advised me I needed to request an earlier service but since when? I wasn’t informed of this at check in. Although they offered to service the room, I was tired and wanted to chill. Not the usual standard of a Hilton.

Good property, ideal location and great staff. 3 problems with bathroom - door didn’t lock as the lock hadn’t been lined up properly following refurb, water saving toilet flush was impossible to push and shower curtain rail was broken and had just been wedged into place resulting in it coming off the second the curtains are moved.

It is a perfect hotel with a perfect room in the perfect location for travellers using the train to and from the Manchester Airport. The reception desk workers couldn't have been more polite. The only disappointment was the very cold bathroom/its floor. It's a shame that the guests can't regulate the temperature in the bathroom themselves, especially when the thermometer showed an outside temperature of approx. 0 degrees Celsius.

No access to the roof top terrace
The online advert shows a rooftop terrace, we booked 2 x rooms, one for us, the other for our friends. We picked this hotel so we could show our friends how lovely Manchester is, and planned to meet them on the roof top terrace for a drink, and to start showing them Manchester from the viewing area of the roof top terrace. Only to be told at reception when booking in that there is not roof to terrace!!! Very disappointing and deceiving. Normally they give a complimentary drink to spend at the bar with the corner Queen delux room, but this was not offered to us until I challenged it. Made me feel like I was begging. Oh and they need a sign on the back of the hotel, as Google maps takes you on a 10 min walk from the Q car park, when in fact it is literally facing you when you come out of the car park, 3- seconds walk away. Other than that, nice clean comfy rooms and nice polite bar staff.

Nice hotel near Piccadilly
Very convenient for Piccadilly railway and centre of the city. A comfortable stay. Nothing hotel could do but down to one lift as maintenance being done so bit of delay there. Comfortable bar area.

This hotel made you feel welcome from the start with hot cookies after check in to enjoy in your room. The room itself was exceptional. Very modern, well maintained, clean and had absolutely everything you needed for your stay. Lovely toiletries in the bathroom, hairdryer, ironing board and iron, fridge, TV and safe. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Although we where literally a stones throw from Piccadilly Station there was no noise at all. The only thing that let it down was the wifi you needed to be an Hilton member to get it for free which was a little strange especially considering the price of the rooms. Also only 1 of the 3 lifts was working so we waited over 15 minutes to get in an empty lift. This is a suberb hotel but if we were going to a gig at the arena again we would probably get an hotel closer to.

Great Stay
Great stay at Doubletree Hilton. Requested for an early check in on booking and that was granted without a fee. Hotel staff were all kind and caring, the room was warm and comfortable, and the gym was good too. Buffet breakfast had a good selection of food and the porridge was lovely!

Nice rooms good location but noisy
Wasn’t a great stay overall due to lack of sleep due to the noise from outside. I was allocated room 416 towards the end. This room looks right onto the tram track and honestly from 5 am when the trams started the noise was unreal it was so loud when passing and very frequent which resulted in little sleep perhaps ask for a room higher up and on other side. The rooms are nicely done clean and comfortable Only one lift working so experienced long wait times which wasn’t ideal. Main restaurant was closed so oily burger type things available from bar, wasnt the best stay so would be reluctant to return as stayed in many others nearby that resulted in better nights sleep.
