This was my second stay at the Westminster London. We went back because the rooms are comfortable and it is in a great location. I was sooo disappointed. The staff was unfriendly and very inflexible.
The worst part of our stay was the check/in process. We arrived twenty minutes before check-in time on a very hot afternoon and waited to see the front desk staff, only to be told that we could not check in yet; we’d have to wait for the 3 pm time. I asked to please do the check-in so We would only have to wait for our room key. Begrudgingly, the receptionist accepted. By this time the lobby was filling with persons that were also waiting for check-in. So, I got into a queue that now has at least twelve people in it and received my room assignment and key at 3:20.
On my first visit, I arrived in the early morning and had paid a full day price es in order to check in early to a room that had been unoccupied the night before. So, don’t expect any flexibility with check-in times here!
Also disappointing was the breakfast service. There is a great buffet of somewhat mediocre food, attended by persons that don’t have time to be friendly or answer questions.
