Room was well sized and the bed was very comfortable. HOWEVER, even after politely requesting a quiet room beforehand and at check in knowing I’d be jet lagged, I was put in a room on the fourth floor and the music was ridiculously loud. Windows were literally shaking, and you could hear people jumping up and down.

The positives-The location is great and in central Hollywood, if you’re looking to have fun. The Negatives- The property is LOUD, things did not seem to work there (like the elevator) Parking is really bad and I would recommend valet, but It’s expensive. I had 3 cops stop me and tell me I should not be walking my dog at night. So unsafe, but it’s Hollywood. It’s perfect if you’re with a group of friends and want to party.

Mama Shelter was a perfect stay for us. We easily walked to and from the Hollywood Bowl for our events, the food at the hotel restaurant was excellent and overall there was a very welcoming vibe. We left merchandise behind when we left. Not only did the staff set it aside but they helped to facilitate having it returned. Allie, in particular, went way above and beyond in helping us. This will always be the first hotel that I check for accommodations when we return for events at the Hollywood Bowl.

It was nice. Great for tourists wanting to see Hollywood… view of Hollywood sign from window. Close walking distance to Hollywood Boulevard and other Hollywood attractions. Be warned though, if you like lots of peace and quiet in your hotels, you may get annoyed hearing people having sex in the room next to you, or party music on the rooftop at night. The walls are quite thin. Not recommended for families or old people.
