Hadn't stayed in years but the property and the clientele have seen better days. Mid-century modern has given way to mid-century mess. The bathroom door didn't close. The douchey bros populating the lobby were obnoxious and needed some adult supervision - or security. The bar was closed by 10:30 - possibly because of said bros. It is looking more than ever like the hipster-wanna-be Holiday Inn that it is.

Really enjoyed our stay at Viceroy. The staff was helpful and friendly, the hotel was clean, light and airy and the room was comfortable. The location is great for walking along the beach and was an easy spot to get to UCLA campus while visiting our daughter.
