Mar. 2, 2020Kata is busy. The biggest improvement would be to put mufflers on the motorbikes and some cars. Otherwise the beach is great and the Karon Kata boutique hotel was awesome

"We were a family of four with 2 ocean rooms next to each other and had a great stay here. The rooms were large with a huge bed which could be split to make twin beds. A little on the hard side but they put a thin quilt on top to make it softer from the second day. I would say the rooms were dated ..."

Jan. 19, 2020The beach is lovely but after a certain time the place is completely dead and the crowd is Much older. I would still stay here over patong though.

Nov. 4, 2019Kata and Karon were both very touristy. We thought these were supposed to be the "quiet" beaches, but this was not the case. Streets were full of vehicles, motorbikes, peds all trying to navigate unsafe streets (usuallly with limited sidewalks).
