***Due to the ongoing issues with Mexico's water treatment pumps, the ocean is not guaranteed to be open at this time.. They do test the bacteria levels daily, but the majority of the year the Ocean has been closed from the Border, past Imperial Beach up to Coronado Beach. If swimming in the ocean is a major amenity I would not stay in these areas, until further notice.***

Beach Club

The beach club is a three story private, gated complex. The Beach Club is a U-shaped building that is located on the sand, no busy street or boardwalk separating you from the beach. It has its own heated pool, Jacuzzi hot tub, and barbecue facilities in the spacious garden atrium.

Unit #204 is on the second floor and offers you a beautiful southwest view overlooking the grass park and the ocean. You'll relax to the soothing sound of the ocean waves. You'll have your own private, sunny direct oceanfront balcony.

We should have known when we opened the front door and the welcome sign fell down, its broken, rust nail disintegrated. This property has probably never been upgraded or maintained. The faux leather couches are broken so that I actually hurt my back sitting down the first evening. The leather look fabric is rubbed off and crumbly. The door latch to the deck is so rusted it is very very difficult to open and close. Not very safe for an emergency. The camping chairs on the patio are split we could sit out there, though the view is amazing. There was one lamp in the living room but the electric outlet is so old (as are all the outlets) the cord won’t stay plugged in, so we moved the only lamp in from the spare room. The carpet is filthy. Any time spent barefoot results in black feet. The ceiling fan above the dining table is crusted with dust and grime. The kitchen faucet won’t turn off fully. Knobs are missing on the old, grimy stove. There are only 3 teaspoons! Bring your own salt, pepper, sugar and coffee filters there is absolutely nothing. The master king mattress does not have a mattress pad which is gross. The en-suite shower door is rotten and moldy at the base. One sink is badly cracked. The dryer didn’t work because the door was falling off. The lint filter is broken and won’t fit properly so your clothes would get caught on it and ruined anyway. I didn’t plan on spending our last day drying clothes in a laundromat! The A/C intake grill is completely rusted.

The location and scenery was outstanding beautiful With the exception of all of the homeless people that we have to see throughout the whole day in the park was disturbing. Having to see them drink alcohol and smoke marijuana and have them laying their clothes out while we are viewing the beautiful ocean and the pier was very disappointing. The condo was nice but very outdated. If the stove and furniture and interior was given some TLC it would be a top-notch rental. Even with all that being said, we still had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay

Feb 2023, 4 nights, 3 older adults: The unit was clean but very worn. It feels like a beach getaway that was well loved by a family decades ago, but with minimal maintenance since then. Probably some appliances and mattresses have been replaced. But the couch has peeling leather, the paint on walls & baseboards is dinged, the carpet is stained, the minimal outside furniture shows years of weather. As the instructions indicate (warn), very few supplies are provided. There’s not even soap for the showers. You really need to bring or buy EVERYTHING, or eat out. The nearest real grocery store is about a 10-15 min away. Decent nearby restaurants, nice beach.

Disappointing Condo in a great location
The view was magnificent. What is behind the view, not so much. We were greeted to the smell of Marijuana the instint we walked in. Right away i noticed large gouges in the walls and basboards. So it felt dirty the moment we walked in. The furnishings looked like a garage sale. And the couchs were peeling leather. They couod have came from the side of the road. The property grounds are dated but still nice. With great access to the beach and walking distance to restaurants. I would stay at the property again. But i would wantvto find a different owner. Hoping they actually keep a nice condo and reinvest into their property. Not just ride the coat tails of the ocean view.

I. B. Local visiting home!!! This was a wonderful place to be!!! Close to everything and everyone I Love!!! The View was Amazing and having the beach so close was awesome!!! Being able to entertain was so nice!! We will be staying here again and again!!!
