Pier House Resort & Spa

"Great Location"
We only stayed 1 night on a road trip to Key West. This hotel is at the end of Duval Street and right by the pier. You can walk to almost everything you would want to see. Didn't eat here, so cannot comment on the food. There are so many restaurants to choose from all around you! Beautiful room, very clean and comfortable.

"Perfect relaxing resort away from the crowds"
It's a great resort with 4 pools, a poolside bar with food and it very quiet. Had a front and back entrance to the room, the front entrance was a front porch, the back was a back porch that led to a sanded area facing the water. Was able to get to Duval Street within 10 minutes by cab (about $15 cab fare). Was a 40 minute walk to Smathers Beach and 50 minute walk to Duval. I'd recommend this if you want to relax (and recover) after a fun night on Duval.

"Huge room, nice pool"
Huge room in building C room 208. two queen beds but tremendous space between foot of bed and wall. could've added a chair in the corner with a ottoman. when we got there Otis said our room was ready, however, the beds were turned over and that was not the case. So we had to leave the room while they cleaned. Took about half an hour so for someone to come clean. pool is heated and large and very relaxing. plenty of relaxing chairs. didn't eat at the fine dining restaurant, but we ordered from tiki bar outside and watched the sunset. chairs and tables outside. others sat on the dock and watched the sunset. white, sandy beach. nicest place in Marathon. they have a small adult pool in another section but we didn't get in that one. very small and not as pretty

"Excellent Hotel close by the beach."
This location is away from a lot of the tourist areas. But it is walking distance for most people to the popular areas. Hotel was very clean. The staff was very nice. And the amenities they had like the pools are very.

"Comfortable hotel near the Gulf."
The newly renovated room was exceptional. Comfortable beds, very clean, shower is great. The overall color scheme was very charming and pleasant. The wall art was great and creative, not the usual art work one sees in hotel rooms. Loved the balcony and easy access to the beach as well as a lovely pool area. There were several downsides. 1) The continental breakfast was mediocre. Pastries were stale and fruit not ripe. Appreciated the organic coffee and boxes of cereal. 2) The young woman at the front desk was rude and discourteous. Check-in was okay. Check-out was not satisfactory. We were not told of additional charges and were not given a receipt. Additional charges showed up on my charge. Staff was also rude on the phone as well as putting me on hold numerous times when I called inquiring about the extra charges. I would highly recommend staying at this lovely facility, but be careful with billing for your stay and willing to put up with an unfriendly experience with the front desk staff.

"Nice Hotel and okay beach front"
Hotel was nice, clean and staff was pleasant. Slight issue with a noisy air vent fan that we had to leave turned off, otherwise room was fine. The hotel's beach is elevated above the water so there is no direct access to walk from the beach into the ocean. The only other cautionary comment I would have is that the hotel's restaurant food menu is somewhat limited and expensive. We had breakfast there once and then walked or drove to other restaurants nearby. I recommend the Lazy Days restaurant about a five minute walk away or Mangrove Mikes for breakfast.

"could stay here for a week"
loved this place. huge pool and a good size adult pool too. two fire pits. they ran during the day as well as at night. the one by the adult pool was my favorite because it was close to ocean side and chairs sat closer to fire. i'm very cold natured and love staring at a fire, so that's a plus for me. waiters came around frequently but didn't hound you. salt water lagoon with paddle boards and kayaks was nice option. Alma's restaurant had the tartest and best key lime pie of 5 places i tried. but i did think my mahi mahi was overpriced. salad was typical and small. Ale and Angler restaurant has more casual atmosphere and menu. very good burgers. STarbucks inside lobby! vallet parking. shuttle to Angler restaurant and Dockside sporting store where I scuba dived. They have spa and exercise room which i didn't use but it looked very nice.I would definitely come back here again if i get the chance.
