"Truly a hidden gem, my family and I were pleasantly surprised to find this quaint and comfortable hotel across the street from Lake Erie. A short drive to Downtown Cleveland, less than 10 minutes. The area is beautiful and feels very safe and inviting. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and night life. Our room was very clean and the mattress was amazing. The staff was super helpful and made us feel right at home. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone that is traveling to the...

"This was a last-minute booking and a late night check-in front desk staff was very accommodating and friendly. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and breakfast was delicious! "
"After a long drive, the Kimpton Schofield was a welcome sight. We opted for the overnight valet parking, and it was a worthwhile expense. The valet staff was helpful and made the check-in process smooth.
We used the drink tickets we received at the hotel's restaurant, Betts. The food was surprisingly good, and the live music and bar with sports on were a nice bonus after staying at some less-than-stellar places off the highway.
The beds were a definite highlight—very comfortable linens. They also treated our dog very well, which is always a plus. The complimentary morning coffee was a nice touch, too.
Being downtown, there were some obvious downsides. The street noise from motorcycles was loud, a problem the hotel seems to be aware of, judging by the white noise machine and earplugs provided. More notably, the immediate area had a distinct, unpleasant odor, particularly of urine, and there was a sizable homeless population. While I didn't feel unsafe during the daytime, it's something to be aware of."
