Luxurious and modern. Different atmosphere. Perfect for leisure visits if you have a room facing the street. Non stop action and a great view. Clean and comfortable. Overhead light in Arcade room added a nice touch other hotels don't offer.
"Close to everything. Historic charm. Lovely bed!"
My husband and I try to stay at the Renaissance at least once a year. Perfect location to sports, the lake, bars and restaurants, the casino, etc... The location makes it the perfect spot for getaway any time of the year. Especially love the room service - living lettuce salad with salmon! Rooms can run small; but they are all historically charming. Love the lobby bar. Wish it offered a hot tub.
My husband and I stayed here after a Cavs game. The hotel was about a 10-minute walk to the arena, so we didn't need any cabs. There's a parking garage that's connected to the hotel, and given our short stay, we saved money paying the daily $8 rate than needing to pay $25 for the hotel valet. Our room was clean and had the amenities we needed, but it felt a little crowded around the bathroom sink with the room layout. The sink was separated from shower and toilet, and but the coat closet directly behind sink. Too much floor traffic, but not a deal-breaker for the room price. The bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay at this hotel again.
Stayed overnight here because I attended a late event held at the hotel .
Staff was extremely accommodating and anticipated our needs very well. For example, part of our extended party had a suite on the "access restricted" floors. Front desk clerk upon check-in added access to that floor on my elevator key card.
A former industrial powerhouse on the southern edge of Lake Erie, Cleveland is known today for its service economy. It is also home to Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame. The Cleveland Cavaliers (NBA) play at Quicken Loans Arena and the Cleveland Indians (AL) at Progressive Field – both venues are downtown. Art lovers flock to the Cleveland Museum of Art in the nearby University Circle neighborhood.
