"The rooms are tiny, which is too be expected in Brooklyn, but some of the design choices were weird. The shelf over the sink seemed like a good idea, but makes it almost impossible to wash your face without banging your head. The shower enclosure clearly had to be macgyvered with a tension rod and curtain to keep the bathroom from getting soaked. And the stark white everything, with just a bit of black and red, made it all look kind of grim. Absolutely no sign of the cute outdoor patio table set up that's in the picture online - there's a roof area, but it's not accessible to guests. Bottom line, it was functional and very clean, but not really what I would call "boutique.""

"The hotel rooms are decent size. The surrounding area of the hotel is pretty run down (not the greatest). Convenient to the subway. Front desk definitely pick and chose who they want to provide upgrades to on rooms. I asked for a higher floor because it can get pretty noisy outside and they said they were full, with nothing available. Another gentleman checked in a few hours later and i just so happened to be in the lobby and overheard them saying that he was upgraded to a suite!"

"The A/C was making a loud noise when running that kept us up all night. There was a construction site just outside our window that had a night shift banging all night, the neighborhood was scary and there was no place to get a decent meal, the staff should not have been putting people in rooms on that side of the building and the hotel was not full as it was a Monday night after the weekend."

"Great price for the area. Our room had no fridge nor other appliances but it was essentially just to spend the nights as we were visiting family in NY, so not a deal breaker for us. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Only downside was the parking! No on site parking and good luck finding parking after 8pm :( overall I really enjoyed the location and will be rebooking whenever I am back in NY!"

"The staff was helpful and efficient. Just know that the place is really run down and has been shoddily maintained. Our bathroom had lots of caulking to hold things together that shouldn’t be held together by caulk. The area is very noisy and we had loud conversations just outside and below our second story window. Not to mention the smell of marijuana wafting in even through closed windows. The bed was comfortable enough, and the bedding was a very nice. The breakfast area is incredibly small. If you just need a one night to get to JFK in the morning, this will do."
