Beautiful Location - Good Facilities
The booking experience, checkin/out, and all communication with the managing company were excellent. The location is wonderful, just outside the city of Bodfish, not far from town with a grocery store and coffee nook, and only about 45 min. from the Trail of 100 Giants. Don’t miss grabbing a steak at McNally’a in Kernsville one night. The cabin was quaint and overall pretty good. We would stay there again. Bed was comfortable. Ping Pong table in the garage. Lots of fun. Only real complaint is the showers (both upstairs and downstairs) were pretty pathetic - a small price to pay for the overall wonderful experience. Overall, a great getaway in the Sierras!

Cheap owners.
Place was kind of run down. Carpet was a mess and lifting in some places. All soaps are watered down, there were no paper towels or trash bags. Trash cans located at the top of the property were full. Over all we had a good time walking around and exploring the area, we will definitely stay at another place for our next visit.

Great big family spot
This was an excellent mix of indoor and outdoor space with beautiful views of the mountains. Very spacious living room and kitchen for family meals, and everyone was able to either sleep inside or pitch a tent near the cabin. Already looking forward to staying here again in the future.

Secluded Cabin in Great Location
We had a very nice stay at the cabin. Fun spot for dog. She loved it, although it is rather close to Highway up the hill. Had to watch her. Lot of fun places to drive to. Had to leave early because of emergency at home. Wish we could have stayed longer. Communication with Evolve could have been better.

Decent property, poor management
The location is pleasant, near hiking and river activities at the Kern river. The house is just next to the road, although not too much traffic, motorcycles will wake you up at night. However, it was really hard to reach the property management company (Evolve). The house could benefit of better internet connection. The kitchen utensils (cutlery) were sparse and falling apart. We took the care of keeping the place as it was, and cleaned it up appropriately as we left but never heard back or got the cleaning deposit back.

FUN!
The property manager, Jim, was a delight to work with, answering all questions promptly. We loved the owners’ quirky sense of humor demonstrated by all the plastic or ceramic critters around the property. The house was totally comfy with the feel of an old-fashioned bunkhouse, replete with antique objects as decorative elements. Giant TV screen. Could have been a bit cleaner but we managed. Overall a fun experience!
