"Very comfortable stay , good hotel , very friendly"
good hotel , very friendly welcome , nice sized room ,.we were on 4th floor so didnt get any road noise ,bed was very comfy so had good nights sleep . Only criticism was room was very warm , so we put air conditioning on for a while. The breakfast had good selection ,continental and limited cooked which was scambled egg and bacon on both days which was tasty enough but the warming cloches were not efficient or maybe not even turned on so food was a bit cold. I think if I had a choice i would have stayed a little closer to centre of Rome although you could walk it in about 25 mins , alternatively it was 2 stops on Metro to the Colisseum. The area isnt the nicest of areas to walk through , a few people loitering around. There are however quite a few nice restaurants seemingly around , but we didnt go there as we only stayed 2 nights. We can recommend Gelateria la Romana though on main road adjacent to hotel ......... Very good icecream , some of best we have had in Italy. For our flight home there is the Ostiense railway overground station round the corner from the Metro and we got direct train back to Fiumicino airport from there so well linked .

"Good hotel location wise "
The hotel was in a nice quiet position but easy walking distance to main sites. Met some people who struggled a little staying in main town centre because of traffic, night socialising etc. If you prefer a little quieter spot this hotel is ideal. Overall the hotel is good and sufficient for a short stay considering site seeing all day. The only slight nuisance was the shower in our room was not very good at all.

"Lovely Italian boutique hotel"
The hotel was on a quiet side street away from any noise. We were met from our taxi who welcomed us into the reception took our cases and then showed us to our room. The room was spacious, large king size bed and bathroom huge with roll top bath and separate shower cubicle. Nicely decorated, high ceilings. We didn't have a balcony but the gardens were leafy green with tables and chairs just outside. Breakfast consisted of fresh bread rolls, ham, cheese, jams, bacon and scrambled egg, cereals pastries etc. lots to choose from. We were 15 mins walk from colosseum and near Trastevere area which had lots of bars restaurants and street entertainment. I would recommend this lovely 3* hotel, value for money and all attractions within walking distance.

Via Beniamino Franklin 4, Rome - Map
It is a really nice hotel. The rooms and bathroom are big and clean, breakfast is delicious. The only bad thing is that is not in the centre of rome, so if you have a lot of luggage you have to pay a transfer or a taxi to get there, but if you are without luggage you can walk some meters to the public transport.

"Convenient location near train station. "
We stayed here for an overnight in Rome before a connecting flight. Place was easy to get to near Ostiense train station. Our suite was ridiculously clean - I mean spotless. Was a little noisy in the evening as we overlooked the rail lines, but not a big deal. AC worked great as did the wifi. My only complaint would be the bed was very squeaky and woke me up whenever I rolled over. Other than that, the fellow who checked us in was very friendly and helpful, and we feel like did very well with our decision to stay here.

"Excellent stay in Roma"
Unusual stay in a residential apartment. Great little pizzeria round the corner. We got to know Roma from a more authentic angle. Renato bent over backwards to help us on arrival - overall a fabulous stay and excellent value.

"Lovely B&B for New Years' Week"
It was really nice to have a hotel that was close to so many amenities and the manager is a really lovely gentleman. He took very good care of us, going so far as to give us some medicine on a Sunday when we couldn't find a pharmacy when my fiancé was feverish and had a sore throat. The breakfast in the morning is great, too! Location-wise, the hotel is not quite within the Aurelian Walls (although it is walking distance), and its proximity to Ostiense Station and a direct bus line to the Vatican makes it a good bet to go to all the major tourist places. It's close enough to the river that popping across to spend time in the swanky Trastevere area is no pain at all. It's also sufficiently off the beaten track enough that you aren't surrounded or crowded in by tourists as you would be up near the Trevi Fountain; and as it's not more than a half-hour walk home from that area (if you don't mind a walk) you're not too far away from anything good to see. For New Years, we didn't even need to leave the hotel room balcony to be able to see all of the fireworks on the western side of Rome! It was a really lovely stay and we will definitely book here the next time we come to Rome.

Breakfast was good. Delicious cappuccinos!! Staff helpful and kind. Only thing was the bathroom, there is no shower enclosure, shower head is there as part of the bathroom with two little curtains to separate the spaces when taking a shower but once you have taken a shower all the floor is wet so you have to use the sink and the toilet while stepping on a wet floor. Once it got almost flooded and the water almost go to the room. It was uncomfortable.

    Aventine Hotels Guide

The most southerly of Rome’s seven hills, the Aventine offers splendid views over St Peter’s and Trastevere from the top. This peaceful, mainly residential quarter has leafy gardens, churches and cloisters. It also incorporates colourful Testaccio, site of the city’s old slaughterhouse where many locals once worked, and inns serving traditional Roman cuisine. It’s now a thriving area of good restaurants, shops, bars and clubs.
