"Very quiet and relaxing."
It was very busy, but staff were helpful and efficient. You cannot hear any traffic from State Street, which is always very busy. It was just what I needed.

"Great Value for the Price - and an Excellent Pool"
First - the pool was fantastic. It was large, clean, next to big windows, and the hotel did a great job with separating the pool into a family section and a lap swim section. I swim laps, but sometimes I can’t because there are too many kids playing. I also love kids and feel bad being a Scrooge about this, especially remembering how much my own children used to enjoy hotel pools. So it was really nice that there was enough room and separation for everyone. Also there were two hot tubs – and one was adults only. The locker room, with sauna, was very clean and modern. The room was large, comfortable, clean, quiet, and had two bathrooms and two double beds – but the beds were extremely narrow double beds, so I don’t think four people could really stay there together. I was travelling with one other person, and you “might” be able to fit three people in the room - tops. I’m not sure why the hotel went to the extra trouble of having two bathrooms, and then made the beds so narrow. I would give the hotel 5 stars based on the fairly low price we paid. The room was little rundown, however, with older furniture and some wear on the wallpaper (but clean) and so I might give it a lower rating if it cost more. The location is ideal, next to Grant Park and in walking distance to the Art Institute and the Chicago Architectural Foundation - which has fascinating tours – highly recommended. The hotel staff members were all helpful and cheerful, and they let me check in early.

"New Year holidays stay"
Stayed with my husband for 6 nights during New Year holidays. I liked the hotel. Pros are: location, hotel and room design, gym and 5 o'clock free alcohol drinks in the lobby. Cons: the room was a little too small although very cozy, on the first of Jan one could wait for an elevator for like 10 minutes - way too busy when the hotel is fully booked. In general the stay was very nice. The location of the hotel is just great - very convenient, close to everything in the Loop. Their vallet parking is overpriced and makes no sense to use, there are at least 3 self-parking facilities around with a price 30% less.

Nice, great location. Near trains, restaurants and lake . Only problem City of Chicago decided to remove snow with front loaded at 3AM. Not hotel's fault.

You’ll find no shortage of things to do when you stay in the hustle and bustle of Chicago.

If you’re looking for an all-around good time, head for Navy Pier. Constructed in 1916, the pier offers something for everyone, whether you’re travelling alone, with your family, or with a gaggle of friends. Ride the Ferris wheel, rent jet skis, or explore some of the many restaurants lining the area. Want to explore the local culture? Go west to the Riverfront Theatre, a giant tent located on a riverfront complex. Besides a great view of the river when outside, the theatre itself offers performances of comedies, dramas, musicals, and everything in between.

Any first-time—or repeating—visitor to Chicago needs to see the Cloud Gate. Head over to Millennium Park and take in the shining, seamless bean, which has incited wonder since its dedication in 2006. Millennium Park itself has a number of things to do such as visiting McCormick Tribune Plaza. During the winter, this plaza is an ice skating rink; in summer, it’s a restaurant.

There’s so much to do in The Loop, you won’t want to drag your heels to a far-off hotel at the end of every day. When you stay in Chicago, downtown hotels give you the best bang for your buck. They’re close to shopping areas like The Shops at State and Washington, so you’ll have somewhere to leave your purchases; they’re also close to the nightlife along the waterfront. You might not even have to take a cab back in the evenings!

Trust Expedia.ca to bring you the best deals on hotels in Chicago. You’ll find a variety of rooms and suites available, and they carry our Best Price Guarantee, so you know you’re going to have plenty of money left over for an extra shopping spree in The Loop.
