hotel was amazing however, the parking staff allowed me to park in front to check in but asked i leave the keys to my car and that if i took longer than 10minutes they would vale the car and i'd be charged $49!!! they were more pushy than polite, kinda annoyed by guest. vending machines took my money but didn't dispense a thing. called the front desk and was told that the machines were from outside venders and they could not do anything for me.over all stay after clearing the water with the staff was pleasant. maybe the attitude i received was a Chicago style welcome lol but i would still stay here again.
2nd time going to chicago. 1st time I stayed at a different hotel much pricier and actually worse in my opinion. I had read so many mixed reviews on Chinatown Hotel but glad took the chance. My bf and I loved everything about it. It's very cheap and yes not the best of rooms they are a little smaller but for pretty much just sleeping it was perfectly great. Parking is simple enough- you either get lucky and park on the street like we did otherwise right around the corner is $14 parking for 24 hrs. Close to transportation, lots of great shops and food in Chinatown. You won't know where to pick. We already plan to continue coming here for future visits.
Great location! Spectacular floor to ceiling views. Walking distance to Grant Park, Roosevelt station a few blocks away, bus stop at front door. Great neighborhood restaurants, Go Grocer entrance in the lobby, Trader Joes, Jewel-Osco, Walgreens,Target, and movie theater all within walking distance. Safe neighborhood, secure building. 3 bedroom/ 2 1/2 bath, plenty of room for six adults. Love having a full kitchen and laundry room for a week long stay. 7th floor has pretty decent workout room, vending machines, outdoor pool and grills. We stayed for 7 days and this location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. I highly recommend getting a multi day metro card. We rarely waited longer than 10 minutes for a bus outside the front door. Taxis always available as well. The people we rented from provided great information about the apartment before we arrived and were good about responding to phone calls or email questions while we were there.
"convienent for shopping, dining, and transportatio"
I did enjoy my room however i did not get the room I booked. The room had one bed when I precisely ordered two. They did not have my reservation so they put me in the room with one bed. The room was ice cold and the bathroom was freezing and never got warm. when they found my reservation they went up on the price of the same room. Do you think that was fair?
