Services and amenities include a 24-hour complimentary fitness center with cardiovascular equipment and free weights and a full-service business center. Fast Board airline printing stations, wireless lobby Internet (surcharge), and express check-in kiosks make it easy for guests to enjoy their stay without hassle or worry.
The hotel also offers event catering, fully equipped meeting and event rooms, and a concierge desk. Room service is available 24 hours. The hotel offers valet parking and an airport shuttle that runs at scheduled times (surcharge).

The 36-story Hyatt Regency Chicago's 2,019 guestrooms underwent a $90 million renovation in March 2011. Rooms have contemporary decor with black-suede headboards and black-and-white photographs of Chicago landmarks. Amenities include coffeemakers, laptop-compatible safes, complimentary premium channels, and wireless and wired Internet access (surcharge). Use of in-room minibars is for a surcharge; refrigerators are available upon request for a surcharge as well. Bathrooms include complimentary toiletries.

J's Express - This lobby coffee bar offers Starbucks coffee drinks and quick breakfasts and lunches. Freshly baked muffins, pastries, and fresh fruit are available in the morning, while sandwiches, wraps, and salads are served at lunch. Snacks and beverages available all day. Open 24 hours.

Stetson's Chophouse - An extensive wine cellar separates a piano bar and lounge from the dimly lit dining room in this award-winning steakhouse. An open kitchen prepares steak, seafood, and other specialties. Open for dinner only. Live music is featured nightly.
The BISTRO At 151 - Located in the atrium. Breakfast is a la carte and has a buffet. Lunch is a la carte.
BIG Bar - With windows the length of the bar that feature impressive views of some downtown landmarks, the bar features signature big cocktails and a menu to satisfy a big appetite. Guests can also catch some videos or the big game on two 103-inch high-definition plasma TVs suspended in the atrium facing BIG Bar.
Recreation
The on-site fitness center at the Hyatt Regency Chicago provides treadmills, stationary bikes, strength-training equipment, and free weights.
The hotel is four blocks from Lake Michigan, where guests can walk, jog, or bike along a 20-mile lakefront path. Oak Street Beach, one mile away, is popular for sunbathing and swimming in the summer. Canoeing, kayaking, and rowing equipment can be rented from the Lincoln Park Boathouse, three miles away. Five miles from the hotel, the Sydney R. Marovitz golf course offers a challenging and scenic nine-hole course along Lake Michigan.

“Chicago New Years”
The accomodations were top notch. However since it was new years, each guest must be registered to each room. Expedia does not ask for this information and we were charged an extra $25 per person since the onlt registered guest is the person booking the room.

I really enjoyed staying there, The only thing I would say is the coffee/quick bite to eat on green level is a little overpriced. Besides that everything was great.

“Concierge miracle”
While there, the children and I took a cab to UIC for an event. Afterwards, no cabs were to be seen. Stuck inthe cold with an infant and 2 other children, I called the hotel concierge. I told them we were guests and the room number and our situation. After 2 phone calls on their part, they had a cab arranged to pick us up. It sounds like a small favor, but at 20 degrees with 3 small children and no knowledge of the city, it was a small miracle that the concierge took the extra step for us. I'm well aware that what those gentlemen did for us is not required or even the norm for their jobs and they are to be commended for it. I only wish I had their names. I'll bet they remember us though, we were in room 3073. Blessings to you all, Sheila H.
“Excellent!”
The bathrooms appeared to be renovated and were outstanding. The room was large and spacious with a great view of the Chicago skyline. The staff was always cheerful and helpful from check-in to the bartenders to the bell boys and valets. I've stayed here several times and seems to get better every stay.

You don't get much for the money in Chicago, but the location was perfect and the staff were extremely friendly. Don't park at the Hyatt lot though -- right across the street is 24 hour parking for 15 dollars cheaper.

Had a great time in this impressive huge hotel. Everyone was helpful the hotel is great. Our room was spacious and clean and had a fantastic view!
