"Beautiful hotel with great location"
We had at great stay at this hotel. Stayed 6/28 - 7/1. The view from our room was amazing! In walking distance from Navy Pier, Millenium Park, North Shore Dr and Michigan Avenue. We rented bikes to get to the Field Museum & Shedd Aquarium which was a short fun ride down North Shore Dr. Drinks at the bar were very pricey but there's a Walgreens very close to grab a bottle of wine or drinks for cocktails. The room has wine glasses and keurig with complimentary k-cups. We requested turn down service and they left free bottled waters on the nightstand which was much appreciated as they want $7 for a Figi water in the room. The room was beautiful and beds were super comfy. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Chicago! Only suggestion I would have for the hotel is to provide an Airport Shuttle.

"Not your run of the mill hotel"
Nice location for this quirky, old gentleman's sports club style hotel. Reception is amazing and harks back to a privileged past that only a few were fortunate to sample - until now! The staff will bend over backwards to help, and always were efficient and attentive, even when i came along with all sorts of off the wall requests. Many much more prestigious hotels should send in their secret shoppers to understand how it should be done. The 'Classic king' room was pretty small - even by NYC standards - and the lighting... it has to be the dimmest room i have ever stayed in. I ended up taking the main light fitting apart to get more light. The other odd thing is that my room didn't have any tea or coffee making facilities - I have never seen that before - and I really missed it. Overall a good experience and I would go back - but I might take a few higher wattage bulbs and a kettle with me next time!

"Best for your BUCK"
I have stayed here before the renovations and now twice after. When you want to be in the Gold Coast but not pay GC prices this is a great spot. Convenient to everything and gives you the freedom to not have a car. If you do bring a car be prepared to drop $65 on valet parking but it does give you in and out privilege. Investigate and you'll find one for half within 3 blocks but no in and out. Whitehall has the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in for its category hotel rating. Enjoy your stay....and walk to John Hancock and have a drink on the 96 floor Signature Room.

"Yes!"
It was a great hotel, staff and location. They had really thought of everything. Happy hour was amazing. We went every day of our stay. Not much is off limits and they have amazing staff in every part of the hotel. The only thing is the train. It's great and close to get around but very loud. We were on the 7th floor and even with ear plugs in I could hear it. That wasn't enough for me not to come back. They are constantly over compensating in all other departments. When they open more, It will be my first choice.

"Great room! So so service!"
While the room was comfortable and quiet the service was inconsistent. I called concierge the night before to check on parking. No one answered so I left a message for a return call and nobody called. The next day my husband overheard a guest ask for a complimentary bottle of water and the guest received one. My husband asked for one later that same day and received one as well. However when I asked for one the desk attendant said that wasn't a service offered.

"Beautiful hotel with excellent downtown location."
My six-night stay at the Hyatt Regency Chicago was great! This hotel has everything you need under one roof. My room was large, extremely clean and we'll-equipped. I appreciated having the safe right in the room to keep all my valuable items. The cleaning staff was there every morning and did an excellent job. I loved the large-screen t.v.'s on the main floor of the east tower which were always on. I could grab a snack from the market store, sit at one of the large tables and watch "headline news" or "espn". The conceierge was extremely kind and helpful. This location is within easy walking distance of Navy Pier, the Art Institute, Millenium Park and Water Tower Place. A very short walk to Michigan Avenue and you can take the CTA bus to the Field Museum and Shedd Aauarium! The hotel was crowded though with many conventions and students!
