"Trendy and stylish"
My husband and I live in the city and were looking for a short baby moon get away before our second child arrived. We usually stay at the Peninsula or Langham but wanted to try something with a different feel. We had heard great things about the Dana and had walked by it several times. When we arrived we were instantly greeted by the bell hop who was so kind and very personable. The concierge was also friendly and prompt. The style of the hotel we loved, from the concrete ceiling to the industrial feel of exposed beams and rustic floor. We had the corner king and the windows were spectacular. The styling of the room was modern but the colors made it feel warm. The shower and bathroom was also very intriguing and modern. I loved the barn door to the bathroom that also hid the closet when the door was open. It was a great Chicago view and in the middle of the night it was a sparkling concrete jungle to behold. Surprisingly enough the windows were very sound proof and we never heard the busy sounds of the city or our hotel neighbors. Definitely will be going back.

"Stylized atmosphere, comfortable accommodations"
There is definitely a modern art / music theme to this place. It is a specific taste, but not so imposing as to be uncomfortable to those who don't share the taste. A newspaper review I read suggested the target audience for the hotel is 20-40 somethings. Clearly the amenities of the place have been installed for a broader audience than that. There is definitely an energetic vibe, but it is comfortable. The gym facility is small. Serviceable for those looking for cardio and free weights up to 50 lbs.

"Great hotel! Simple and easy stay/booking"
I had to book this hotel just hours before I needed it that night, the hotel was easy to find with parking right across from it. Me and my boyfriend stayed in a standard queen size bed room, it was very clean and modern. The room was on the smaller side but for two people I don't think you need much more, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody and stay here again my next visit to Chicago!

"Eccentric hotel in a great neighborhood"
I've stayed at Hotel Lincoln several times and I like it because it's different from all the downtown hotels. Conveniently located in Old Town, it's a quick cab to downtown or Lakeview, it's right on the lake so it's convenient for taking a morning run or walking around the Lincoln Park Zoo. The hotel has interesting décor and a great little bar on the roof. The hotel staff is always very friendly and helpful.

"Stressful trip made special"
Our recent trip to Chicago was for University auditions and interviews. Needless to say it was a hectic and stressful time. Travelling with my two daughters aged 18 years and under 2 also added to the challenge of finding a spot that was both comfortable and functional. The Waldorf Astoria Chicago was everything and more. The fitness centre was bright cheerful and fully equipped to satisfy my older daughter and my work out needs and the pool was a special place to share time with my toddler. The restaurant staff were always helpful and attentive, keeping the pace moving so there were no melt downs or disturbances to other patrons. The Doormen were most helpful in obtaining vehicles as needed and assisted with the loading of a tricky stroller always with a smile. The housekeeping staff had a keen sense of how many towels and toilet articles to leave from the first day and the complimentary turn down service was a real treat. Our trip to Chicago could not have been better thanks to all the staff at the Waldorf. I will look forward to staying there again in the future.

Do you like money? Who doesn’t! Visit the Money Museum, which was established by the U.S. Federal Reserve. Check out a large cube made up of $1 million, as well as exhibits on counterfeiters and historical currency. For something less expensive, head to Oak Street Beach for a stroll. If it’s a windy, cold day, bring your coat; if the Midwest sun is hot, bring your flip-flops. Once the night falls, don’t take it as a signal to head back to your room just yet. Head to Cubby Bear, a sports bar by day, music venue by night. Established in 1953, this meeting spot was vital to the Chicago punk music scene in the late 1980s and early 1990s. While the tunes vary these days, it’s still the place to see a local band on the brink of success.
