(1,124 reviews) The resort felt a bit dated. We were on the first floor and the room let in a lot of noise from vehicles and guests. The food choices at the all-inclusive were subpar. The Italian restaurant and sports bar had decent food, but the seafood, Mexican, and steakhouse restaurants were all incredibly disappointing. The marina location is fun, but you will be pestered by vendors frequently. I will return to San José del Cabo next time as I much prefer that more serene area. (1,006 reviews) The hotel is beautiful, and we were very happy with our room and ocean view. Seeing baby whales from our balcony was an unforgettable highlight. The spa facilities are also excellent and well worth visiting. However, the massages are overpriced. While mine was enjoyable, it did not justify the high cost. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again. The check-in process took around 90 minutes and included being pushed to attend a hotel tour, which turned out to be a sales presentation. We were told it would last 90 minutes, but it took three hours, which was frustrating as we value our time while on holiday. Dining was also an issue. We were not informed in advance that restaurants required bookings, so we could only secure late dinners at 8pm each night, despite restaurants not appearing full. Service during the day was slow, especially for lunch and drinks, and at times we felt overlooked. The food was average. The hotel advertises a private beach, but there is no ocean access, which should be clearer. Overall, while the property is lovely, there are significant issues with service and transparency. The good very clean, food was amazing, nice staff, improvements being made to the resort including adding another tower. The bad no chairs available by the pools or beach after 9:45am, beach area very small, short staff which made wait times longer, being sold as a family resort personally feel that it is set up for couples. Based on cost to stay and how busy we will not be making a third trip back to the resort. (22 reviews) This is a mixed review because there were things we genuinely liked about this hotel. The property is beautiful-very modern with a relaxed boho vibe & the location is great, close to beaches, the marina, and grocery stores. The staff were friendly and tried to be accommodating during our stay. Unfortunately, we experienced several issues and had to change rooms 3 times. The first room had a sliding door that wouldn’t close properly, so we were moved right away. The second room was on the second level facing the main street and the noise was extremely loud starting around 6am, garbage trucks, construction, traffic, and street noise. The windows seem to have very little sound insulation because the noise sounded almost the same whether the window was open or closed. Since this was supposed to be a relaxing trip, we asked to move again. We accepted a downgrade to a room without a kitchen just to get away from the street. Unfortunately that room had a connecting door with almost no soundproofing, and we could clearly hear the guests next door talking, brushing their teeth, using the bathroom, and watching TV. At that point we asked for a refund and considered leaving, but the staff tried to help and offered a room on a new floor that was quieter. However there was no Wi-Fi and we also had AC issues. Overall the hotel is beautiful and the staff were kind, but the noise, room changes, lack of Wi-Fi, and AC problems made the stay disappointing. No compensation was offered.
