"We loved our stay! The location was amazing and the communication from our host/management was stellar. The unit was perfect for our family of three - 2 parents and a 9 year-old. It would easily accommodate a slightly bigger family comfortably too. A pleasant surprise was finding the on site restaurant back open - we ate there once and enjoyed it. The little cafe had great coffee drinks. We had rainy windy winter weather but watching the ocean from our beachfront spot was beautiful. And the pool and hot tub in the rain were still fun. Easy drive into town and to lovely sightseeing spots. Would definitely return, and have already recommended to another family. "

"Our stay was perfect. The staff at HCR made us feel very welcome and at home. The after hours check in was super easy too! The room (D1) we had overlooked the entire courtyard to the ocean. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, dishes and pots and pans. I would say if you are considering preparing a lot of your own food, bring a sharp knife. We also would suggest replacing the dustpan in D1. The room was clean, well maintained and very comfortable. The coffee shop was also a real treat. Wonderful people making wonderful coffee and lots of beautiful artwork to peruse as well. We sampled the pool, hot tub, the coffee house, the secret restaurant that we will never forget. It was truly an unforgettable experience. The staff on the resort were all kind, welcoming and gracious with their time. The beach….. it was beautiful the entire time. Whether it was raining and windy or warm and sunny, everyday the beach delivered. We cannot wait to go back!! Thank you HCR!! "

"We had a wonderful stay at this property. The location was great for accessing beaches and a short drive to town (a car is a must). The beach towels and beach chairs were very helpful. The noise of the dogs and roosters are significant but the white noise machine and air conditioner noise are helpful. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay. "

"I really enjoyed my stay at Hanalei Colony Resort, Unit C2. The location is perfectly situated right next to Kepuhi Beach and about a 30-minute walk to Tunnels Beach, which made it easy to enjoy the north shore at a relaxed pace.The café on the property was incredibly convenient for my daily matcha and bagels in the morning. While I didn’t have the chance to book a massage next door, I loved how close and accessible it was—both the café and massage studio are separately owned, which is nice to know.The unit itself was very clean and well organized. While it is on the older side, I found that part of its charm—it felt cozy and authentic rather than outdated. Management was friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate with throughout my stay.Having a laundry area and a water filter onsite was an added bonus and made the stay even more comfortable. Overall, this was a great experience, and I would absolutely stay here again."
