Quaint Island Charm Right On the Beach! Secluded & Laidback Seaside Retreat

"Quaint charm and beach view says it all! We loved the ‘Hawaiian’ feel and decor. It was not a bland vacation unit. Watching the sun rise and easy access to the beach was a bonus. Coffee shop and restaurant on the premises were both great. We did have minor issues with access to the unit. We called the rental agent and left a message. They were very prompt in calling back and finding a solution to our problem. We would stay here again if staying on the north shore."

"I think one of the first things people are going to be concerned with is the "no air conditioning". There is a constant breeze off the ocean that will keep you very comfortable. Actually there are times just before sunrise that you may feel cold as the temp does drop a bit lower. This condo is really right on the sand and you hear the waves all day and all night. When you lay in your bed you actually wake up to the sunrise each morning. I appreciate that the room faces the bay rather than the open ocean. From the room you are looking at the bay and the mountains to the SW. Don't miss the waterfalls on the mountain side after a good rain just off the entrance to the parking lot. The pool area and the barbques are not off the one side of the room as the photo may lead you to see. They are a short walk from the room over the path bridge. This area is very nicely appointed and very comfortable. The pool is the perfect temp to walk right in. There are palms and tropical flowers surrounding a large lawn off the pool area. The laundry is just upstairs and there is an elevator to help you too. The machines are efficient and not costly to run . I appreciated that. The room has everything you may need from beach chairs, a cooler, extra pillows and enough hangers. The kitchen was well appoointed. Everything from chip clips to BBQ tools, and placemats. Everything is very clean. Don't buy bottled water. The water on the island is excellant. This is a top notch rental."

"Positives-This was a cute house. It is older, but has seen some upgrades. They definitely have every amenity that you would need and so much more. There is so much room-inside and out! And so fun to have fruit trees right outside your window. Negatives- It is located right off the road and the next door neighbors are close! The location isn’t great. Yes, it was near the tunnels/beach, but not within walking distance because the roads are narrow and dangerous. Also, you have to drive a bit of ways to Hanalei for eating and shopping. This is obviously not the hosts fault as we should have done more research before booking. Overall, good experience!"

"The view was quite beautiful. It is a very isolated property with a perfect little coffee shop steps away. I wish the beach would have been a swimming/relaxing beach but it was extremely rough waves and hard coral to walk on. When we arrived, the front door was open which was a little alarming. I loved how many towels they provided along with beach fun toys sand chairs. Everything smelled a bit musty, being that the air was so damp and little upgrades could be made to the property. The bedroom with the bathroom attached also had shutters that never closed tight, so the wind howled all night. Board games and a deck of cards would be nice too since there’s no tv."
